American Psycho
In the city of New York, a monster did roam
A man, with a heart as cold as stone
Patrick Bateman, his name did strike fear
In the hearts of all, who came near
With his good looks and charm, he lured them in
But soon, their fate, would be grim
For behind the facade, a psycho lay
A man, consumed by hate, each and every day
He killed and he maimed, without a care
Leaving behind a trail of bodies, beyond repair
But no one knew, of his dark deeds
For to the outside world, he seemed so sweet
Until one day, his mask did slip
And the true monster, was revealed in a flash
But even then, no one believed
The horrors he had committed, they couldn't conceive
So let us beware, of those who seem nice
For you never know, what lies beneath the disguise
For even the most charming, can hide a monster within
Just like Patrick Bateman, American Psycho, sin.
But what drives a man, to such heinous acts
Is it nature, or nurture, or a combination of both facts
Patrick Bateman, a product of his time
A man, who was lost, in the rat race of life
A man, who was consumed, by material possessions
And a thirst, for power and success, without concessions
But in the end, it all came crashing down
As his true nature, was revealed to all, with a resounding sound
For in the pursuit of power and success
We often lose sight, of what truly matters
Our morals and values, they get lost along the way
As we become slaves, to our own desires, each and every day
So let us learn, from Patrick Bateman's fate
And strive to be better, before it's too late
For in the end, it's not the power we possess
But the kind of person, we become, in the process.
