I removed an affliction thate stopped it blinding my map. 

I was then able to see the map. 

So, they do work in general, maybe it's just that specific one?

It removed max resolve + current, then added max back without current.

I had 79 max resolve, took a -100 max resolve affliction down to 1 max resolve. Later on i removed that -100 max resolve affliction. Gone from the list, yet my max resolve remained at 1. Nice one, just remove them from the list, not like the players will notice they are still afflicted.

Removing afflictions DOES NOT WORK.
