Anyone know how to unclog the Eustachian tube? I've tried the valsalva manoeuvre and it still doesn't open.
Last night the acid splashed up and went into the upper areas. I noticed I'm worse in winter which is why the reflux is acting up again. The tube is swollen and I can't open it. Music is everything to me and I'm scared of losing my hearing or having it diminished. I'm tired of all this shit. I just want it to be ok.
I've been through all sorts of horrible stuff since August last year, non stop. I'm tired now.
I've been dealing with traumatic shit since August last year, non stop with no breaks in-between and its wore me down.
Stressful, condescending college course.
In December developed a black mark on toenail that I was deeply worried could be a melanoma. It wasn't, but the stress caused me to have reflux/LPR.
That faded in early April, but as soon as it did and I finally maintained a healthy BMI (I'm underweight) with only one more appointment to go, I got Covid.
The Anosmia/Parosmia traumatised me, my smell and taste returned, but the one sided nasal congestion has persisted to this day. Around June I asked to see an ENT, but they rejected me.
Then in May came the erectile dysfunction, then the depersonalisation/diminished mental imagery arrived in June (and my imagination is everything to me)
Then the GI problems began to show. Periods of diarrhoea and constipation randomly.
Recently I had what seemed to be neuropathy, resulting in me being worried I had some form of empty nose syndrome. Meanwhile it being December, my nasal congestion got worse.
And now, the reflux returned and my Eustachian tube can't open.
I've been planning my suicide since April. Perhaps I should've done it sooner.
I need help urgently. I'm so sick and tired of this. It never fucking ends and only gets worse and I need it to stop right now!

Use Flonase when doing the exercises to unclog your ears. Talk to someone if you are feeling and thinking about suicide. Prior to Covid, I was living with chronic illnesses and I understand the frustration of wanting to feel better fast. Take one day at a time. Things will get better, slowly and with time.
Did it help you?
Yes, it’s helping and also the exercises. Try Sudafed too and an antihistamine nasal spray to help unclog your ears. You need to do the exercises 20 times a day. That’s what my ENT doctor recommended. My hearing isn’t completely back to normal but I’m able to listen to my tv again. I’m sorry you are suffering from all these symptoms. I’m dealing with some other long Covid symptoms too. I understand this virus effects everyone differently, but don’t give up. I truly believe, eventually we will all feel better.
Thanks. I hope I can make it through this.
Do you think Nasonex/Mometasone would work good too? Thats what I've been prescribed.
Yes, I never used Nasonex, but it looks like it the same medication as Flonase except one needs a prescription and the other doesn’t. Mometasone is a steroid cream or nasal spray. I used the cream in the past to treat skin condition, but stopped using it because it thins out the skin. Also, it’s a steroid. My best advice would be to see a ENT doctor. But your symptoms should get better.
The ENT wrote me off instantly because of of my nasal congestion in May. The medical system is completely disinterested. I'm surprised the doctors aren't spending all day everyday with no patients, gleefully whizzing down the halls in their cheers going "Wheeeee!"
I’m sorry. Some doctors dismiss patients symptoms. When that happens, I get a second opinion. Keep trying to get answers for your symptoms.
