I’m all for balanced ships, but it does appear they hit it pretty hard and multiple times with the nerf bat. Although I would rather they nerf it before I consider getting it than after. That being said, I really like playing playing the Tromp, so maybe it won’t be too bad. One can hope

And don't bother with it, they nerfed it to where it isn't worth the steel.
A bit premature to make that call
Here is the WOWs November 30th dev blog for the Z42 changes.
German destroyer Z-42, Tier X
Main battery reload time increased: 3.1 to 4.5 s.
Detectability range by ships increased: 7.25 to 7.6 km. Other types of detectability increased proportionally.
Torpedo changes:
Range reduced: 10 to 7.5 km;
Speed reduced: 66 to 62 knots;
Detectability range reduced: 1.8 to 1.3 km;
Maximum damage reduced: 18,400 to 13,700.
Those changes made it from excellent to meh.
1.4 second reload increase, .41km detect increase and the last nail in the coffin 2.5 km torp range reduction.
