Kwon Eunbi - Underwater

I have loved this song ever since it came out. There's something about her voice, the melody of the song, the instrumental... it's impeccable. I don't exactly know what genre it is but I want more of it.

1 of 1 - SHINee ! i love the funky, groovy vibe of this song. i also love how happy this song sounds and how it doesn’t take itself too seriously, so any songs w that vibe i’d like. i am open to both boy group and girl group, you can also add a song or two from a different genre that matches that vibe.

since i am familiar with most title tracks from a lot of groups and am wanting to discover new music, i’d prefer only bsides and don’t include any songs from bts, enhypen, txt, itzy, or blackpink bc i am already familiar with their entire discography.

definitely LION by (G)I-DLE. they are my 2nd favorite group so i love them. I love all of their parts in the song, but especially miyeon's and yuqi's prechorus?/chorus? i have no idea if its one or the other but i love their voices there. it's relaly powerful and i love the catchy and powerful vibe.

i know you arent taking red velvet request but i would love at least 1-2 red velvet songs bc i love them so much(tbh ones like on a ride, bye bye, and zoom i would appreciate). i am also a gg stan so i would love some third to fourth gen groups like twice,ive,lesserafim etc.(i dont like bp that much), and i'd like most of them from the groups in my user flair, and mainly bsides.

i'd like it to be kpop only bc thats the only music i listen to lol.

A throwback but I've been obsessed with this whole album and especially this song for months 😭 it's just so smooth and the adlibs throughout are stunning. I love the laid back yet still expressive vibe and I've been in dire need of more songs like it.

Anything is welcome as long as it's Korean, but I would prefer if it was newer (post-2016/2017). I also would like to stay away from SM artists (I already know their discographies pretty much inside and out lol).

A song I’ve been listening to a lot lately is villain by Stella Jung. I don’t know what it but I’m obsessed with it. I think it’s the instrumentals and the mood it gives off. The instrumentals with the typewriter sounds and the old vibes it gives off. It’s the same reason i love nxde by gidle. If you want to make me a playlist i would be down for a genre mix, and for your challenge I’ll kind of make it easy by asking no big 4 unless it’s a bside that you think fits. I’m excited to see what you make :)

i have yet to find the same combination of emotions that i feel when i listen to ghosting by txt, something between crippling sadness and magic girl energy. sort of looking for songs that make you want to cry and twirl around in a field and wonder why you arent giving back the love you put out into the world. if that makes sense.

i'd love all kpop, mostly b-sides if possible? i've been listening to kpop for a decade now so digging up some old/nugu b-sides that i may have missed would be much appreciated:) this is such a fun idea and im glad i caught this post early!

E'last- Shelter

This has been my ultimate favorite kpop song since it came out earlier this year. I just love how beautiful their vocals are and how much emotion is put into the song. It gets me in the heart every time I listen to it, which is quite often.

I would love to have more songs like this. If you can, I would prefer other similar songs from kpop boy groups. Also, as much as I enjoy soloists, I would love to have a playlist that has a similar feel to Shelter from groups not soloists.

I am upsest with this song, I love the vibe since it gives me nostalgia, and the instrumentals are so relaxing and vibe to listen to. Especially when they put like an effect on the vocals in the rap were it's kinda blocked out. But my favorite part is definently the vocals in the chorus and the way they kind of scream-sing in a way, just not aggressively, it makes me feel like I'm flying lol. Also when they say words in the background as a soundeffect. I also like that its a slow song but also has a lot of flavor.

For the challenge I would prefer a playlist with no exo songs since I'm quite familiar with them so I probably won't find much new. I also prefer kpop but wouldnt mind a couple non kpop songs. :)) Thankssss

Would love a playlist based around BTS’s Louder Than Bombs! This song immediatly stuck out to me when I first listened to MOTS 7 and it’s still probably my favourite.

I can’t really explain why I like it so much but I love the like… athmospheric (?) vibe this song gives me. It’s so large and all the instruments in the chorus drag into each other so nicely. I love the vocals with a lot of echo and the way there’s lots of vocals stacked on top of eachother. I also love how the instrumental and the rap parts sound kinda dark, but the vocals have a very hauntingly angelic sound.

It can be a mixed playlist, actually I’d like to point out the song Casual Affair by Panic! at the Disco that I love and that I always found to have the same vibe as louder than bombs (very different songs in a lot of aspects, but the instrumental in the chorus especially has the same vibe to me). Hopefully this helps explain what I like about louder than bombs better!

Red Light by F(x) gets stuck in my mind a lot. I think its the rhythm, the way it builds, especially at points like 'wait-a-minute.' I also like the longer intervals (scale, not time). The background intrigues me as well, though I haven't done a deep dive into yet.

I'd like it to be filtered to songs prior to 2020, just because I'm getting familiar with a lot of what's coming out since. But if you think something is too perfect to skip, then by all means.

I would love a playlist for Onewe's Trauma (Aquarium). What really makes this song so impactful for me is the slow build at the beginning, the build into the chorus with a hesitation before the chorus hits. It just makes the chorus all the more powerful. Also the guitar solo at the bridge is just amazing.

I've always been drawn to more emo-pop-punk-style music so this song suits me well lol. I would love a mini-playlist of Kpop songs with that similar edgy vibe that you can just rock out to.

2. Fromis_9 is one of my major bias groups that are currently active. I fell for them during Love Bomb, went back to watch Idol School, and then have followed them ever since. Besides Stay This Way being their most successful song so far, it really captures everything about their style with it being high energy but also cool, soothing, and refreshing. It's also the last OT9 comeback so have to commemorate it.

3. 2nd and 3rd gen girl groups only. Not too difficult but definitely more my overall vibe. Also no YG

4. I'll go for a genre mix but k-pop heavy

oh god this song is > 5 years old

Kidding Me- Itzy. I like the power in their voices as well as the catchy beat. It packs a punch, while still having this very vibey dance feel. I like how it feels like their more feminine upbeat voices pair with the strong, dark, playful vibe, it makes me think of like a Red Velvet or TXT song ( in the kind of powerful yet charming nature) but with Itzy’s more smooth/ soft vocals.

I think the instrumental of the song really loops me in, it pairs so nicely with their voices (the best I can describe it is the same way I feel about Red Velvet’s Bad Boy). It kind of has this unsuspecting feeling, you are expecting Itzy to be a bit more delicate but the song has a more intense darker sound with the rap, it’s engaging to listen to. Itzy’s confident sound is why I am generally a fan of their stuff, having them deliver a powerhouse sound in an unsuspecting package or with unconventional unique style is really fun to see.

No specific requests. I tend prefer girl groups, but I do like some boy groups like TXT, so long as the vibes are similar I think it’s fine I just tend to find the vibes of this song more so in GG music or TXT. I really like the vibes of artists like IVE, Twice, Red Velvet, Seori, TXT, Blackpink, Somi, Nmixx (I love their quirky style), New Jeans, Le Sserafim, Gfriend, Gidle(just some examples to provide more context on the sound vibes, these are not a specific request).

Any time period is fine, I’d love a nice mix of everything (old, new, nugu groups, big companies, etc). I am fine with any genre being mixed in so long as it has the same feel (smooth and delicate/ fun but strong and quirky/ playful)
