Christmas eve

RPCD Driver

I know it sucks, but we still have a job to do. Don't take out your frustrations on your customers today, because they bought stuff. It's management that's making us work today.

Also, a lot of people still work today. It’s not like we’re the only humans working today. No need to be mad about it

Oh, but the opportunities for petty revenge are here in spades.

That lady who called you a wetback? Said you should go back to wherever you came from? Yeah, that one.

She had six packages. Signature required. Scanned individually and sent to different access points. Her shit is scattered over 40 miles in total.

I came off the Rez. I am where I came from.

She was asking for it.

No disagreements here. I'll just take my paycheck and walk away when the day is done.

Friendly reminder that both the packages and the customers belong to UPS. Lots of weather out there and people should focus on safety over service.

I was lucky to be handed a 2500 today to deliver out of. 4x4 is a sweet thing to have.

I used to work at a grocery store.

I ALWAYS worked: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

This year (my first at ups) my sup told me we don’t have work on yesterday or today. I’m happy about it but also suspicious lol.

We got to stay an extra 4 hours for a late trailer today!! Merry Christmas!

I always remind myself it’s managements fault not the customers when I’m out late delivering.

Hospitals, old folks homes, first responders, police, corrections etc all work year round every holiday even Christmas Day. Be grateful

We are giving gifts to people. Try to stay positive.

I’ll never understand being disappointed with customers for ordering stuff even if it’s last minute. It’s what gives you employment and you would just complain more if they cut you all the time because no one was mailing anything.

I came in today. Stood around for 90 mins, then got sent home. Good times.

We had little volume today. One route went out with 4 packages. Most of the rest had less than 60 packages.

At least this company pays good money for working today. Getting 2.5x rate at my hub.

I'm only getting time and a half I believe today.

Yah - Thank you all! I had a medication package that made it to me today and I nearly wanted to hug the driver.

It's been a long time since I went out and did grunt work in this kind of weather but I've done it and I know it's a battle convincing yourself to walk out the front door at the beginning of the day but everyone who did has my absolute respect and gratitude. It's sad that we have so many unemployed but everybody is still understaffed, making the few people that are there work that much harder.

I also went in to work today to try to get people's medical lab results out to them - - definitely not the degree of physical brutality that you all face but we're all in this together when there's a holiday but the world doesn't stop turning and people's lives don't just go on pause because of it.

Thanks again - Merry Christmas
