Manayunk/Norristown line stopped due to police activity at Conshohocken station
Anyone know what's up? I've been stuck at Spring Mill for 45 minutes.

Patch is reporting (without corroboration) that both the Plymouth Township officer and a suspect have died.
They said they got the guy. Dunno which is the result of the delays though.
Mass transit delays across the board tho.

Wtf. I live a quarter mile away and had no idea this happened.
I live in Conshy and had no idea this was happening until I saw it on Facebook about an hour after it happened. You'd figure they'd say something on tv along the lines of, "Hey, there's a suspect on the loose, keep an eye open for a guy bleeding from a gunshot wound." But uh, nope that never came.
They have to keep quiet until the family is notified of the death. I think that the shooter was downed in a very short time after killing the officer as well.
Dude I was helping my friend work on his house on Old Elm St (2 blocks past Guppies towards the Steel Mill) when all this was going down. We had no idea what was going on, and they let us go through the barricades to get back to his house and no one would say anything. How fucking asinine is it that a cop has to get shot and killed over a car accident though?
I have a feeling the kids were from Norristown. That's just a feeling though, I'm not entirely sure. But with the rising levels of gangs in Norristown, things like this just might become more common.

There are information sources out there. @montcoalerts on twitter is a good place to start. Also, if you have an iPhone, look for an app called "Montco"- it has feeds from Montco DPS and police radio audio.
Thanks for the info, everyone. Sounds pretty serious and the trains are still stopped as of right now. Just got on the 97 bus as alternate transportation to get back into the city.
i worked right at the spring mill building over the summer. across hector street from the station. fun fact

Where is earnest station?
Nvm it's just spelled ernest
Not fairly sure, but for google earth purposes it's earnest station road.
Edit: never mind my idiot friend texted it to me wrong
You still knew the location hours before it was on the news.
