South Housing

When applying to South housing (non-honors), are people looking at end of the semester or currently achieved credits? I've been looking at other posts and they're saying 90 to 100? If it's 100 before spring semester ends I guess I won't get it. Also, for pulling people in, does their credit count matter? One of my friends has 46 credits as of now and he says he doesn't have enough to get pulled in, I thought I can pull anyone. Anyways, happy holidays everyone :)

There’s no minimum number of required credits to live in any of the housing on campus. So if the person with the highest number of credits is able to select a big enough space for the group they could pull in someone with like 6 credits

This heavily depends on your gender, not to be controversial or anything but I will state some facts, half of the rooms are reserved female and half are reserved male, the male ones go wayy faster and in my personal experience I was stuck with a fourth floor Wilson (last choice of building and floor) (106 credits finished by end of fall semester) The girls on the floor I lived were freshman and sophomores that just saw it was open and took it

Edit: this is myself bringing a full room in (3 other people, but I had the most credits at 106 completed by winter)

Did you find the environment at south frustrating due to the amount of younger students? Currently a Junior campus changing in and slightly worried about that

I don’t interact with anyone other than my 3 roommates so it’s not that much of an issue

Thanks for the insight. Do you know if they care about what year you're in? Like if there's theoretically an incoming freshman and incoming senior both with 200 credits, will they choose the freshman over the senior?

Usually it’s just when you select, you’re given a time to choose and you can choose what’s left
