I started dating a woman a little over 2 weeks ago. I thought it was going well. Started with a lunch date, that turned into catching a concert that was hairdo that same night. Went for dinner, Bowling, and drinks a couple nights later. One of the days was my birthday so she came to dinner with me, my parents, and my sibling(which I expressed that she wasn't obligated to meet my parents already if she didn't want to). Another couple more nights later and we just stayed in for a dinner and movie night.

I texted good morning and good night each day and then a quick "Thinking of you" during lunch(this was like every other day though... not every day). We also had some people solid text convers

My son is getting married and I thought a great wedding present would be a sword. There's a couple places online to buy lotr sword, but i was wondering if anyone has first hand experience with any sites, that they could recommend me to check out.

I'm a high school teacher in a programming and web dev shop in the US and we're at the point where we need to buy new computers for the shop. I think that we are being very irresponsible with how we have been doing this, so I'm trying to slowly change minds that are pretty set in stone.

At the moment, we buy 20 laptops every 3 years. They're usually pretty good ones, but they're just basic hp models. I hate laptops though. Our students don't move around that much to justify them in my opinion and that's really their only major perk. Our enrollment has been dropping the last couple years and I think part of the reason is that our shop doesn't look like a CS shop. My thought is that flashy g

In Unity hub, I'm looking at a project and it says it's 22.5mb but when I look at the properties menu, it lists the project as being 2.25gb.

Why would that be? If I were to build and launch the game, would it be one of those sizes? Or something in the middle?

So I was pretty good friends with this woman about 15 years ago and although we stayed friends on Facebook, we haven't really talked since 15 years ago.

We tried to meet up a couple times over the past year but one of us was always busy at the time. The other day, I reached out asks asked if she'd want to grab a drink or dinner that night to catch up. I sent the message in the morning before work and she responded about noon with a yes.

We hung out for a couple hours at a pub having 2-3 drinks and then she had to leave. Although she did message me after and said she had a good time and was sorry she had to leave so early. Also that she wanted to hang out again to continue catching up.

I think I understand the subcriptions for dnd beyound, but I just want to make sure. I run a D&D club at my school. We have enough players to regularly have 3 campaigns going on. We don't currently use dndbeyond, but I'm probably going to start using it when school starts next year.

I'm curious if each DM(myself and the two students) would all need subscription accounts or if I could get one Master account for the school and content share with them so that we can each run our own separate campaigns. I know it says you can content share with friends, but I wanted to make sure you could content share any DM-specific or campaign creation content with other accounts or if it was content sha

I have a ukulele that someone had given me many years ago and I never really got into it. However, I have a 5 year year old niece tat premenstrual to play it while I'm playing my bass. Thing is, it only had 3 strings. I remember the missing string was steel and noticeable different from the other three. It's also bigger than a typical one, so I'm guessing it's a tenor ukulele?

Anyway, I was trying to buy a replacement string off Amazon but all the ones I'm seeing are Nylon. I've read that Aquila is the brand to go with, but I'm just trying to make sure I'm buying a set with a steel string?

Anyone have advice on which one to buy or if I really need that steel string? I remember it sounded

So I'm aware that this post is gonna go over like a fart in church, but I'm gonna ask it anyway.

I need to make slideshow presentations of my lessons. I normally teach 11th and 12th grade Programming classes and my lesson notes are quite bland and to the point. Over the summer, I going to be running a programming camp for a couple weeks and while my notes are sufficient for me, I'm thinking that 5th and 6th graders are just going to ignore them if they don't look engaging enough. I'll be guiding the lesson, but I need slides that kids can follow along with. Mostly for kids that are faster than the pace of the group or slower than the pace of the group.

I'm friggin horrible at creating fu

I've been teaching in a vocational school for a couple years now and have been struggling to fill out program to capacity, even though we have to put about 50% of the students that apply on a wait list.

The "blue-collar" programs like Electrical and Automotive always fill up, but the "White-collar" programs like Computer Science, Architecture & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Technology, etc seem to be struggling.

Now I know most of these jobs still require college degrees so I'm curious if vocational technical or career technical schools are still seen as a viable school or if people primarily still believe they are just for kids that don't want to go to college.

I have a website created for a vocational school that is going to sell school apparel and stuff like that to students or parents or whomever. The current school store is already run in person by the students in the Business Tech shop, so they want the students to be able to run the online store as well. They want the students to be able to create products and see orders, but they don't want the students to have access to any of the payment information.

It looks like I can create a role that will restrict the WooCommerce section from specific users, but I haven't been able to find a way to give users access to only certain sections of WooCommerce. Has anyone had experience trying to accompli

I'm trying to package my JavaFX application and running into programs with I try to put it together. I'm using jPackage.

I had originally upgraded the jdk to 22, but I got an error

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal com.github.akman:jpackage-maven-plugin:0.1.5:jpackage (default) on project KH_AutobodyManagement: Execution default of goal com.github.akman:jpackage-maven-plugin:0.1.5:jpackage failed: Unsupported class file major version 66

when I ran mvn clean package

I plugged my error into chatGPT and it took me that I should stick to Java 21 because it has long term support, unlike Java 22. However, I'm not 100% sure that chatGPT knows what it's talking about. A couple other google

I have a date this week that I'm really quite nervous about. I got divorced a couple years ago after a 20 year marriage and this is only the 2nd relationship I've tried since then. We're both in our early 40's. I don't know what her dating life has been like, but I imagine she gets hit on or flirted with a lot, because she's pretty great looking and works as a bartender part time. I imagine she's heard a lot of repeated questions and lines.

I haven't been on a lot of dates so I worry that I'm going to come of as boring and unoriginal. I was curious if anyone had any interesting questions they wished people would ask on a first date. The only one I can think of is "What's your favorite dino

I've been trying to eat more fruit lately and it hasn't been going all that great. It's not because I don't like the flavor though, it's just that it's almost always bland to me. I just feel like it's semi-solid water with a tiny bit of flavor. I usually put a fruit cup of sorts with my lunch each day. I've been trying cantaloupe, melon, honeydew, watermelon, and kiwi. So far kiwi is the only one that I kind of like. Apples I'm quite fond of but that's the only fruit I could say i really like and they are a lot more solid feeling than these other fruits.

I'm going to keep trying them but I've also recently discovered Tropical Smoothie, which is a place in my town that just sells smoothies i
