Life was pretty rough for me this past week so last night when I went for my weekly grocery shopping trip to Walmart, I wore a very bright orange tie-dye shirt. Usually, wearing bright and comfortable clothes makes me feel a little better.

As I turned the corner down the snack aisle, an older gentleman noticed me and gave me a big smile. He said, "Woah man, I LOVE that shirt! That is so cool!" His wife also turned and said the same thing. I made sure to say thank you and let them know they made my night.

How was your weekend?

:chat: Just Chatting

It was a long holiday weekend for me. I rented a cabin for my girlfriend and myself. We rode a mountain coaster for the first time and tried a few restaurants in the small town we stayed near. It was very relaxing. She just graduated college, so the last couple of weeks have been very stressful with final exams and graduation prep.

Anyway, how was yours? Do anything fun?

it’s fascinating how
many people we come across
will disappear forever
but only from us

the persons at the grocery store
gas station, ball game
have their own lives.
and for a small moment
we’re a part of it.

we pass by strangers not knowing
if we’ll ever see them again.

be kind to those people.

we only have a small moment
with them before
they disappear from us

forever

On winding roads

we travel,

A place where our minds

begin to unravel.

Alone with the ramblings

in our head

While the rest of the world is asleep

in their bed.

Eighteen wheels rolling through.

This job is a dream,

but only for a few.
