Hi all,

I own a few pairs of red wings such as 1907, 3311, and 8864s.

I had my feet scanned at a RW location to get a size recommendation for all of them about 3 months ago, and made purchases based on that.

Two questions here:
Why does my size recommendation changes based on which moc i'm looking at? For instance, 875 I'm recommended 11.5D, but in the 8849 i'm recommended 12D. I'm sure there's a reason behind it but seeing as they are all last 23 I didn't expect to see a difference. Oddly enough, when I was in the RW store, they said it was recommending me an 11.5 for the 1907. I got home and linked my scan data to the RW store and it recommended me a 12D.

I'm looking at a pair of 108

Hey guys!

I've been scouring Amazon and eBay in an attempt to find a really sexy RJ45 connector that comes with a matching boot that once installed, the boot cannot be removed. I haven't really been able to find anything that's really nice looking that fits my needs. It would be amazing if there was something that is very similar to the RJ45 and Boots used on monoprice slim runs so you could custom cut a cable that's a little long!

If you have any recommendations for any connectors/boot combo that look really nice that you've had good luck with I would appreciate it! Affordability would be nice as well.

Thanks!

My trusty old XG-U2008 10 gigabit ports took a dump on me

it was used as a desktop switch for me, getting its 10G uplink from my downstairs switch and then also letting me have 10G for my workstation PC, and having lots of other gigabit ports for fun stuff.

Since it is a desktop switch I would like it to look nice, preferably the XG-U2008 or the Netgear SX10 ( GS810EMX) The budget is $100-$150. I can purchase the Netgear GS110MX on eBay used for like 100-120 but I just think they are ugly and I literally have to stare at it for hours so :D

Location doesn't matter if you're able to ship! Paypal Preferred!

First selling post on here, if I'm doing anything wrong pls lmk!

CPU was purchased in a bundle on Newegg in October of 2020. I builtt a PC specifically for work and kept it at the office, it was used on a non z chipset motherboard so it was never overclocked, I didn't bother to slap it into my z490 board to see how good of an overclocking chip it is, so I can't say if its a good or bad silicon lottery for OC'ing.Reason for selling is a few months ago I upgraded the work rig to a 10900k, as I was able to get a golden sample 10900k for my z490 board :) I would have held onto it because I think the box is cool, but due to th

Forewarning I'm a total noob when it comes to Hyper-V virtual machines...

I have a bare-metal machine through a provider, unfortunately, I was forced to choose windows because the game servers we run on it the majority of the time are windows only. (I don't hate windows, just prefer Linux for my servers, and that's where all my experience is. This is why I don't have a lot of experience with Hyper-V).

This machine is bare metal, and only has one external IP address to the world, its static, not NAT.

At first, I was just planning on sharing the external IP address and creating some type of rule (I think) to forward traffic on certain ports to the Hyper V VM. I couldn't get that to work

Hey guys! Been a silent watcher of the sub for awhile.

I have one person who also watches my plex at the moment, I very specifically tell him that if a movie is in 4k to set the quality to 1080p (with the speed below my upload speed cap from my ISP) However, I do like to enjoy 4k movies from my home LAN. But when not playing at the original video quality and transcoding starts, the 2700x seems to struggle with only one transcode, and I use my server for other things that can also be slightly CPU intensive. Id like to keep two copies of the same movie, one in 1080p for external usage, and one in 4k for home lan watching while not having to transcode, is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys! Kind of a beginner to pushing the real limits of CPU's and whatnot, every CPU that I've owned I've always given a little boost, basically setting the core clock to whatever it will go and be stable through an intense stress test and not have to adjust voltages (prime95 small FFT's and AIDA 64 CPU, FPU and Cache tests)

Was new to ASUS mobo overclocking, only ever really used MSIs until now, and I was seeing a lot of options that were renamed and options I just hadn't seen before, so I followed an online video on basic setup to get an 8700k to 5 GHz and I know the basics of overclocking and making sure everything is stable and lowering/increasing voltages as needed. And to my surpr

Hey guys, I've been self hosting a few apps from a old pc that i turned into a server at my place, only thing is that when I am away from my network, xfinitys upload speed is garbage. Movie streaming on plex can look poopy and all other apps just tend to struggle. Im looking to move all my applications to a VPS that has a really nice upload speed, and preferably also comes with a significant amount of storage space, for a decent price. Who do you guys recommend? Ill probably be doing plex, some time of cloud storage app, and a few gameservers. Thanks for any recommendations!

EDIT: My location is USA, would be perfect if the company provides hosting in Chicago!
