I am from India and will probably be moving to Japan in few months because of my next job. I would like to know how is it to live as a Gay man in Japan? From what I have read online, it seems to be quite safe, no one is gonna hit you for being gay or something. But, somehow I'm worried as there isn't much stuff on the web about gay life in Japan, good or otherwise. So, if anyone over here has any story or opinion to share, please do.

As such, I don't have any problem or worries about the Japanese culture or society. Rather I feel excited about exploring some culture very different from mine. My only concern is the level of homophobia, attitude of gay community towards foreigners, etc.

As of now, we are thinking of having meetup tomorrow (13th August) at Rangoli Metro Art Center, Near MG Road Metro Station at 3 PM. It would be better if many people show up, so, if anyone is busy this time, we can do it on next Sunday.

UPDATE: Since last time only 4 of us were there, and it seems like again same people will be there, we are shifting the meetup to next Sunday (20/8/17), so that u/samizdatstudio can come too. Sorry for the late update.

I will be moving to Bangalore this month with my office near to UB City. I know this area is kinda posh, but, will it still be possible to find a PG/ single room within 2-3 km radius with rent below 10k? Which nearby areas should I try to search for PG/ Flat? I have been to Bangalore before, but, lived only around Electronic City and Sarjapur Road area and have no idea about rentals in this area.

I am studying political economy and my teacher has asked to read some papers on topic of my choice and present it. Mostly, we have covered models on voting in which agents do usual cost-benefit analysis for whether to vote or not. So, I was thinking of presenting something which exploits the irrational behavior in voting by agents.

I looked it up, but, didn't find any good paper. It would be great if someone can suggest good papers on the same. Thanks!
