Just got booted from Primal (Ultros). Luckily we were in between deep dungeon floors so we didn't lose a run.

Background:

One of my SSDs has been misbehaving for months — tending to lock up the system at random when it tried to read anything. chkdisk (and similar) insisted it was fine. I was able to find many others online with similar symptoms, but none of their fixes worked.

Just before I went to bed last night, Windows suddenly asked for a restart to repair that SSD. This seemed promising! So I let it go ahead.

Well, the "repair" didn't help. The drive was still working when I shut down, but when I booted the PC up again in the morning, the drive was completely unreadable. And after one more reboot, it had vanished entirely.

• It's in Disk Ma

So I'm having problems with specific areas of the game: Shisui dungeon and certain specific floors of Heaven-on-High. (And possibly other places I haven't discovered yet.) The game crashes every 10-30 seconds. No error message, just crash to desktop. It makes these dungeons essentially unplayable.

Also, possibly unrelated, I have a bunch of these mysterious lines in the Kugane floor texture.

Sounds like it's just corrupt files, right? But I can't seem to fix it! In no particular order:

• I've reinstalled the game. Multiple times.
• I've reinstalled Windows 10.
• I've lowered my gr
