I think it just makes sense at least after the event is over and Valve already did this in Wraith-Night.
I dunno what the conversion rate could be, maybe 3:1 since there are cheaper items compared to Wraith-Night and you get Ingots without playing the game mode.
Edit: New Blood, First Bloom... you got the gist of it!

I expect our awesome Commander to join the ranks.
-
Maybe the first few of the Smeevil courier alternative mounts?
-
Abaddon almost complete. Although I 'd really want a double hero patch tomorrow I think it won't be the case (sadly).

Bot guy has been really slacking as of late, but I guess they are prioritizing more stuff for TI3 so probably no bot updates.
What are your predictions and/or hopes?!
I don't know if anyone's noticed - or is it just me and it was implemented some time ago and I just saw it - but the timer thingy on summons, converted creeps, illusions and wards was changed.
Before, the circle green fill would slowly "empty" from right to left and I always thought that it was a bit counter-intuitive and not so good looking visually.
Now, the circle green fill rotates like a clock, so it's much more easy to judge and looks better visually in my opinion.
Although a really small change, sometimes this attention to detail is stunning in this game.
Just wanted to let everyone know! :)
We all know Rod of Atos sees literally no play at all because the active feels underwhelming for the gold cost and although it was buffed again in 6.75 I think most would agree that its stats are really good and appealing but not the main issue it faces.
So after a bit of a theory crafting and brainstorming and inspired by the items own "lore" ("Atos, the Lord of Blight, has his essence stored in this deceptively simple wand.") this idea came to mind:
New Recipe:
-
2 x Mantle of Intelligence: +3 Int (150g)
-
Staff of Wizardry: +10 Int (1000g)
-
Vitality Booster: +250 HP (1100g)
New Active/Stats
-
Rod of Atos: +20 Int / +250 HP / Active: Blight (2400g)
-
Blight: Diseases the targe
