My questions is about the theta roles or thematic roles (I know they're not the same, but from what I've seen they often coincide) of the words vanilla and chocolate in the phrase "vanilla is better than chocolate".
As I understand it, the predicate is "is better", but I don't really know what the other two are supposed to be.
