We always see post about the big names and the heritage pieces, but I’m curious about the small name companies like Smith & Clark. Does anyone know much about them or have reviews? What about others like Carolina cooker?

Ok this may be the turkey and food coma talking, but would it be possible to quench-season a cast iron skillet. I know, I know. Cast iron is brittle and would likely shatter or crack, but let’s say someone preheats the oil, and they use something like a tempering over to heat the skillet evenly over time. Could it work?

What other wild seasoning methods have you heard of, or thought up?

In before: just cook with it, 78354 rounds of perfect coatings, use xyz oil. I mean truly out there, not every day methods.

I’ve got a 2011 Golf that I’d like to have serviced and some work done on, but all I can find is Classe Auto in Suwon. I would prefer a dealer or VW authorized mechanic as I’m hoping to have the transmission serviced.

Can we get a stickied thread of recommended sites for different parts? I’m thinking one each for interior, exterior, engine, etc. I’d love to be able to make some upgrades to my 2011 mk6 TDI, but there are so many sites it’s hard to sift through what’s reputable vs not and the pricing seems to be all over the place.
