Due to my age, I know a few people currently buying or recently moved to their "forever" (or at least long term) family home and most are 3 beds.

Looking at the market ourselves (areas of London, appreciate situation is probably different more suburban/rural) there are many more 3 bed options. That's the case even if we bump up our budget a ton - many lovely 3 beds with sensible layouts, bathrooms etc. for all budgets, but the four+ beds are rare, odd, and often obviously carved up 3 beds with two box rooms lol. The four beds become plentiful at the level of large detached houses with gardens only.

A couple where both work from home at least some of the time, and have kids, how does that

Hello! Thank you for reading my post.

I'm trying to complete my citizenship application form and hit a few roadblocks on which i'd be grateful for your thoughts.

  1. I'm being asked for all of my immigration applications history. I do have details of my skilled worker and then ILR applications, but not the older study visa or tourist visa details. The form states "if known" so you'd think i could just say not known for some of those details (reference numbers, dates), except it demands dates in correct format and won't let me proceed. Should I just tick "no" on any earlier applications, and upload a cover letter explaining this? I am aware i can also request a SAR but a month's delay wou

I normally use Trainline to check the options and then book direct.

For my selected date (mid-September) and time, Trainline/Trainsplit both offer Gatwick Express Brighton - London Victoria Super Off Peak Day Single for GBP 25 pp. But i can't see an equivalent fare on Gatwick Express website, cheapest being an anytime day single for 35 pp. Traveling as a family, the difference is significant.

Anyone got any explanation for this? I am not very experienced with train tickets. Thank you

Just over a year back i bought a flat at 4.49% mortgage rate. The mortgage is at 35 years but my plan was to overpay by 15% each month which i've been doing. I also contribute to my pension and direct other savings to ISAs.

At the time i thought I am buying the flat longer term. But due to unexpected change in family circumstances I would need to move as soon as possible, so my primary goal is to have a deposit to buy another place in maybe a couple years. Because of that my savings are primarily in a cash ISA with a 4.02% since i don't have the "long term outlook" for S&S ISA.

I LOVE my flat but every market statistic indicates it's losing in value and will continue losing in value. I s

Hi All

I ordered an item with DHL Express Airfreight (from Italy to the UK) which was expected to arrive in 24/48 hours. As you can imagine this was something i needed in an emergency. However, my shipping notification is for DHL Economy Select and expected arrival time is in 5 business days.

The seller swears they shipped it with DHL Express Airfreight (not sure...) and they will try to deal with DHL to resolve this. Does anyone here know if there's any chance of DHL changing the service after picking it up?

Hello all, first of all i appreciate that between the January disaster and the flooding the situation is difficult and silly tourist problems are probably annoying. So thank you very much if you take time to answer anywa

I have travel to Andalusia booked in mid-March and I'm losing my mind a bit trying to figure out if the routes are affected by current repairs (which should complete by that time but there could be delays). My travels are meant to be between Granada and Cordoba and between Cordoba and Seville which i originally thought wasn't affected by repairs but I'm reading online some people with the same itinerary getting cancellations?

I really want to take the train as Renfe was o

Online, the consensus is pretty strong check-a-trade and ratedpeople etc. are full of fake reviews and recommendations by word of mouth are by far the best

I need a bathroom fitter in London and managed to get two different recommendations from my social circle, both of which turned out to be flakes and disastrous.

But if personal recommendations don't work, and you can't trust online listings, then what's left? DIYing is out of question here.

I owned Doogee s98 Pro which has a 6.3 inch display, very happily but i would saythat's the max phone size i could deal with.

The phone finally is dying and I am looking for a rugged phone replacement. Most seem to be massive 6.7+ inch display (found a couple 6.56 which are still just too comically large) OR minis under 5 inch which are too small for me.

Nothing in 6-6.3 range or similar. Well, a couple of older Doogee Fires that have terrible reviews.

Any recommendations or am i searching for a unicorn?
