Basically as my title puts it. Extraction shooters have been amazing this last year, right until the pve community trickles out and were left with the sweats and meta boys. Marathon is my current favorite game that has devolved. You would think with every big companies push for a new live service game they would have found a better formula by now. Mostly making this post to throw my proposal onto the pile.

Core theory:

Improve the loop. Keep the pvp aspect but make it so it feeds into pve gameplay directly. Make pve content then feed back into the pvp loop.

(The whole concept relies on two main things. That there is strong pvp and pve gameplay. Marathon would be a peak example of this

Doing a 2 man campaign and i need help countering urge

SpoilerGeneral Questions - [SPOILERS]

Doing a sorta evil run campaign with a friend of mine. He is constantly doing dark urge shit and im getting a bad feeling about how the endings are gonna turn out. How can I counter this man and steal the ending for myself? This man has killed at every corner and has desecrated every body he had the option to desecrate. He needs to be stopped and I need shenanigan ideas to do it.

Im starting my first game and ive picked a fairly simple concept to keep things easy for development. Im going with the classic marbles, the kind where your knocking your friends marbles out of a circle. On paper this is a very basic game, you dont even need a crazy amounts of animations because its just spheres. What im digging into is how far do you think a game needs to expand on its original to be fun?

My proposed design changes basically turn it into something like auto-chess. Marbles have health and get 3 abilities, on throw, on hit, and on round end. The marbles may only have one or two abilities depending on rarity, builds, etc but most of them have an on round end ability. When the

Just having a laugh after a cryo run where the only reason we escaped with all our loot was because we threatened another team on the other side of a door to not follow us. The bit went on for at least 3 minutes and both teams had a laugh. Sometimes thats all it takes to change a fortune.

This is a fun community which really helps make the game.

Favorite claymore play of the season was a simple team fight where I had left a few by an easy entrance. The fight sorta switched around at one point and two assassins had smoked the door to rush us to try and clinch a teamwipe, only for them to both die to the claymores previously placed. I had not expected this work work out that way and was intending them to be a deterent from that exact play. Needless to say I was cackling like a maniac while finishing them off. The others in my team got a good laugh out of it as well as no one believed that should have worked out.

Hidden objectives are an amazing addition to every map. They change how your game is played immediately. Often taking a rat run into an outright heist. A game from last night will forever be a go to example.

Loading in with a random pub on outpost, im loading in with decent gear but the two pubs are freekit bros. Were mostly chilling and looting, stakes are low and since they are freekits im not risking my mid kit on a firefight. Now an important bit, the destroyer on our team is a newbie, straight from destiny player, other guy is about my level in experience judging by the conversation. Were gossiping about stuff and generally keeping things chill when all of a sudden the other experie

Had a run in with a rook last night that was honestly hysterical. My squad clears out back to back 3rd parties. Finally were the last team standing and this took shows up. One of us has the bright idea to let him have all the leftovers, which were honestly banger, if he helped him get his thief achievement. What followed was the sketchiest encounter I've ever had with a bunch of randoms. The amount of trust this rook had in my pub group was a thing of wonder as the thief stole a borrowed self rez kit and handed it back to him.

Were all wearing tinfoil hats here. Maybe the console was a bit too orange, maybe that new bot was wearing a logo from another faction. No conspiracy too shallow, no guess too wrong.

Im thankful for Lou being on the dropout cast. He is great and makes me laugh and his part in d20 is a major reason my Fiance got into DnD stuff which is now a shared interest.

But Lou, if your on here. Im gonna need you to stop being as my fiance puts it "Fine as hell". She now specifically looks for shows hes in just to watch him. If we ever get to go to a show with him in it im gonna have to have words with her because im fairly certain she will make a play.

The Incarnon mechanic is easily my favorite mechanic when dealing with old equipment. Giving that lato vandal in my inventory an incarnon easily made it one of my top favorite weapons just to bring around. In general the transformation mechanic is fun as well and I believe we should have something similar for warframes. The old busted ember, the dated loki, even frost would benefit greatly from the option of not a rework but an evolution.

Reworking old kits is a chore development wise and doesnt really give me a reason to go back to an old frame most of the time. I believe though that giving the incarnon treatment to warframes would result in a huge benefit and reuse of the old guard wh
