Once a year, usually around the same month my dog will have a week where he’s slow, sits awkwardly and struggles to jump up/climb.

Despite taking him the vet on 5 different occasions over the years they’ve never definitively diagnosed the issue, they’ve said it might be muscle pain or even nerve damage.

Every time though they’ve prescribed metacam, and after a week he’s back to his normal self.

Unfortunately you can’t buy this over the counter, I’ve asked my vet to give me a prescription but they won’t without seeing him. This is frustrating because we’ll be in/out within 5 minutes, I won’t have any new answers and they’ll send me away with price inflated metacam plus a £100 bill for th

I’m out of options so turning to Reddit. Our whole chain has been ready to complete for weeks, but we were waiting for 2 final enquiries to be answered from our Estate Management Company. Unfortunately they are terrible, take weeks to respond and never answer their phones.

A lot of it goes over my head so I’ve copied the jist of the emails below. TLDR: from what I gather our estate management company is denying being our estate management company? We’ve been given a deadline by the end of the week and my solicitor is out of options. My estate agents say many houses fall through on our estate due to this estate management company. Can Reddit help or shine any light on the below?

Forgive me if this is the wrong sub, I couldn’t find one related to the question but if anyone can point me in the right direction I’d be grateful.

We’re upsizing and have bought a property with planning permission already granted and drawings online.

It’s a two storey side and front extension. It’s classed as already started as the ground floor has been made open plan and was part of the original drawings. The side/front build hasn’t been started.

Is it a case of passing the existing drawings online to a builder for a quote or do we need our own architect/structural engineer to revisit the plans? Or even revisit planning permission all together?

We’re happy with the original drawings

I'm running a Ryzen 5 4600G and GeForce GTX 1050Ti. I can only get the HDMI from the GPU to work, trying to run a second monitor from the onboard HDMI doesn't work.

I've tried installing the latest AMD adrenaline for Windows 11 but I receive the Error 182 - AMD Software Installer Detected AMD Graphics Hardware in Your System Configuration That Is Not Supported.

I've tried the ASRock BIOS - but there's no chipset configuration menu or multi-monitor, iGPU settings.

I suspect it is a driver issue, but I can't install the latest drivers so I'm stuck.

It's a new PC for basic home use running two monitors, I performed all Windows 11 updates then added the 1050Ti. Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve been tracking lease deals for 2 months in preparation for when my wife’s current one is up in October.

There have been zero good deals. I used to see weekly posts on HotUkDeals of family cars for sub £200 with 1 month downpayment.

Nothing comes close to that now, the majority are £250+ with a 9 month downpayment.

I’m a service engineer and a lot of the equipment I work on involve removing loads of TX10 - TX20 screws.

I’ve only ever used hand tools for this but I’m thinking how much time a cordless screwdriver could save me and I suppose time is money.

My employer has set up a Scottish Windows GPP plan (Pens Portfolio Two) where we both contribute 5% + basic tax relief.

The fund charges are 0.55%.

To be honest I’ve never heard of a GPP. I have my workplace pension as well as a SIPP and S&S ISA through Vanguard. Is there any reason not to enrol in the GPP as well as it essentially seems like more free money from employer contributions?

Unfortunately I got the midnight email that my 4 year old daughter didn’t get her first choice primary.

The school is a 4 minute walk at 0.3 mile away, and she’s been attending nursery there for the past two years.

I naively thought it was certainty, so I’m gutted.

EDIT: Ignore my initial frustration, had time to dwell hence initial post was at 1am haha. Obviously not a perfect situation, as my girl has her friends and it’s a very convenient school run for us. However the other school is still good and like a lot of your replies said she’ll settle in very quick. Aside distance and currently attending nursery we’ve got no grounds for appeal, so will sit on the very long waiting list. Chee
