I recently got my third dreame robot. This time it is L10S Ultra. I don't understand few things

  1. everytime i start the robot, it makes loud ratlling sounds and cleans up mop (even before it starts) and takes several minutes before it undocks and goes for cleaning. - Is there a way for me to disable mop cleaning 'before' it starts cleaning ?
  2. In valeutdo I marked my carpet as 'no mop' zone. However , robot treats it as 'no go zone'. i.e. when i select that zone manually and send it to clean, it refuses to go over that zone. Am I misunderstanding this feature ? I obviously don't want robot to mop over carpet. If robot automatically detects carpet and lifts the mop , then what is the p

I am creating a circuit to control my three garage door openers. I am using reed switches to detect the state of door (open/close) and 3 lasers which help with exact parking position (garages are bit small).

Did i create a fire hazard (any miss wiring) or invitation to burglars (door opening automatically at boot/reset of esp32) ?
BTW i confirmed that my garage door openers work on dry contact (no chaimblerlain/liftmaster proprietary signalling stuff)

Here is the schematics - [https://app.cirkitdesigner.com/project/52d6a3e7-849b-4e9a-86c5-fb9667c0508a](https://app.cirki

I need a garage opener installed. Don't want to install crappy Chamberlain/Liftmaster proprietary crap. I read Genie still uses dry contact push buttons. I also found that atleast one model uses a serial protocol for wired switch. What I am trying to find out is, which models support dry contact. I haven't been able to find a list of models which do.
Any suggestions ?

Account setup nightmare

New Post - Tech Support

Last evening i spent more than 2 hours speaking to 4 different reps and they could not solve my problem. I am trying to have my online Xfinity account to show my new internet account. I tried 'link new account' in my profile and the reps kept on trying to walk me through steps which did not work (threw error in UI). The steps they told me were (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/switching-between-multiple-accounts) but after step 9 either UI threw an error (saying "something went wrong"), or it redirected back to orignal page with no changes.
I will appreciate if a xfinity expert who knows how to fix backend issues can help.

I’m this close to getting my whole family into the ceremony, but I’m still short a couple of tickets for June 13th, 2pm. If anyone has extras they won’t be using, I’d be eternally grateful (and will happily trade homemade cookies, a coffee run for finals week, or lifelong bragging rights that you saved my mom’s tears).

Seriously, it would mean the world to have my entire crew there on graduation day. If you can help, DM/text me—first come, first hugged!

Thank you so much 🖤🎓

Is there a way to edit the map manually ? My problem is , my house has uneven floors and I built a ramp for robot to get to another level. The robot is able to go up and down the ramp when I run it manually. However when mapping it always craps out due to narrow ramp. I am wondering if there is a way for me to manually define the map and walls by directly editing the map file instead of using valetudo's mapping pass feature ?

I have two USB devices (android auto wireless adapters) and one host (car's usb port). I want to be able to switch between these adapters by using a slider switch. I got dp3t slider switch and wired vcc and d+ to the slider switch. I am able to switch the power between the devices , however host is not able to read the usb devices (i.e. car doesn't see the adapter). I read it could be related to impedance mismatch at joints/switch. Is there a way to create a switching circuit between these two adapters ?

If you are visiting Japan, most probably you will be buying Welcome Suika for each of your family members (since regular suika sales are restricted). Now

  1. Welcome Suika doesn't offer refunds
  2. On reloading machines you can only load in increments of 1000 yens.

To empty out the Suika, before your last ride, make sure your card has has less amount than fare for last ride (i think having few hundred yens are fine for you to enter the gate) and then on final destination, go to support desk next to exit gate. They can add EXACT fare adjustment to suika for you to exit the gate. (unlike reload machines which require increments of 1000 yens)

In my case , I was running out of cash to load, so

I have an 11 hour layover in tokyo. Arriving haneda 6.30am and leaving around 6.30pm from Narita. I plan to go out in tokyo during the day time.

What would be best option for me to ship my luggage from haneda to narita ? I see all online ship options talk about shipping luggage to/from hotels but not from airport to airport. Any suggestions ? and approximate cost ?

At worst we may have to take limo bus from haneda to narita and store the bags at airport before we go out. But that will waste hour and half of our time. Any help will be appreciated.

Help a noob

Help Needed

I am trying to find a solution for my setup. Here it is

  1. Tailscale running an container
  2. There are other containers running on same machine. one of the container with 'host' network.

I need to be able to access the container with 'host' network.

Here are constrains

  1. I do not want to install tailscale on bare metal (since i have every app running in docker and there is a whole lot of automation/scripts around that)
  2. I do not want to make my tailscale container as exit node (because of network speed)
  3. I do not want to co-install tailscale inside other container (reducing dependencies)

So far, in my tail scale config I was using

        - TS_DEST_IP=192.168.1.2

I have some entities, which I only want to update (e.g. current weather) only if the lovelace is loaded. There is no point in refreshing it when no one is looking at it. (don't care about history). There are several more of these type of entities. So my question is , it is possible to somehow detect if lovelace is loaded. I am thinking maybe some kind of javascript pings which hit the server. if there is no browser then these pings will not be there.

Another thought, since when lovelace is loaded, it automatically updates the entity values as they are changed on server side, so there must already be some way for browser to know (websocket, javascript polls), is there a way to piggyback on t
