I used to hear the titular question a lot, but while I was never really a TBM, my go-to explanation ("well, you're getting the highlight reel--consider how many years must separate dramatic 'miracles' in the Old Testament and how many mundane years lied in between") never really satisfied me either.
See, but here's the thing: miracles retreat with proximity. They grow with time removed; they shrink into mundanity at the point where they supposedly occurred.
Case in point: Brigham's miraculous transformation into Joseph while making his case to become "protector" of the Church. Never happened, of course--the story appeared memetically a decade or more down the line, and suddenly everybody
We have slow internet so I renew Xbox Live on my 360 primarily for the Games With Gold deals. For a couple of years I bought my yearly subscriptions for around $35 on a site called CDKeys, which looked shady but people on this sub confirmed was legit.
Now that year costs $46 on CDKeys, which is still a pretty decent discount from $60. Still, I'm wondering if there's a better deal out there. Is keeping up with Slickdeals and CDKeys still my best bet, or am I missing something?
It's not a game-breaking bug if you're patient, but you'll find yourself in the sky outside the floating platforms, with random areas allowing you to stand and others causing you to fall. Eventually you can roll back to the floating circular platforms at the beginning and continue as normal.
Another artifact of this bug is that you can stand on each side of the first vertical staircase, but not climb the staircase itself. It's solid like an obstacle.

I realized something today: I don't bite my nails or bounce my knee when I'm really anxious. When I'm extremely anxious, approaching panic, I'm nearly still. It's almost as if any motion, any action is so joyless and unnecessary that I can't even stand it.
But when I start biting my nails--well, that's just my normal everyday highstrung personality. The one I can work with. The one who overthinks things but isn't consumed by those thoughts, who can be concerned about something without being thrown into a panic by the mere thought of it.
I'm pretty bad at knowing how I'm feeling, and sometimes when I think I feel all right I'll slowly realize I'm hampered by the haze and misery of
Today's look at right-wing entitlement: Orson Scott Card complains about the "restroom needs of privileged groups" and then rants for 600 words about not being allowed to park in business' private lots
archive.is/d0tlPI have persistent mild insomnia, which probably comes from more than a decade of bad lifestyle where staying up late is concerned.
In the last year I've tried to be an adult and sleep better, and when it works it's been great. However, trying to be in bed at 10 or 10:30 has also brought back a cyclical insomnia I remember from my high school days, which generally manifests itself as feeling all right as I'm getting to bed, slowly being bothered by a few minor things (like the light coming in through the blinds or the temperature of the air or having a bit of a song in my head), and then realizing over the next few hours that I'm not going to be getting any sleep until 5 or 6 as a surreal, d

amormonapologist.wordpress.com/2016/03/30/fin...Say I have a Word doc open in Desktop 1, and I create a new Desktop 2, hit the Start button, search for another Word doc and open it. The new file will open in Desktop 1 (the desktop with another Word file open), and then needs to be manually moved to 2.
Is there a way to prevent that, or is it a wrinkle of the OS? It seems to happen with most programs which load user-created documents (image and word processers, for example), and not with most programs which load relatively separate instances (like web browsers).
