Hello! I've been wondering lately, with the rise of AI and the Sora videos showing us the capabilities of AI production, how it is going to impact the Sound area in movies.

I've been doing Foley for a couple years now and a after watching AI SFX videos i feel, on one hand, not worried because I feel the AI won't reach the level of specificity and abstractionism that Foley delivers. On the other hand I feel like it will come close and it might cover some holes on the art and make a few people unemployed.

What do you think about this?

Hello guys, i'm a Sound Designer and me and my team just released an alpha on Itch, with it, we were looking to get some people to playtest the game and give us their opinion for later improvement on the full game.

The game is a Retro Shooter with a Western theme and our studio's called Fallen Sun Arcade.

Here's the Itch link: https://tim-p.itch.io/sands-of-skullcreek

And here's the Teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4rFe9zAVJQ

Let me know what you think!

Thanks!

Hello guys, i've been a Foley Artist for a few years now and i recently created a collective with two other very experienced people (Lisbon Foley: www.lisbonfoley.com) with a focus on Foley and Post Production services. Since we spread the word a lot of people have been divided in regards of the importance of Foley for movies and shows.

I feel like it's incredibly important. And it's one of those things that when you watch a piece without foley work you go through it and that's fine. But once you see a film with foley and you try and remove it it will ruin the experience.

What do you think?

Dúvida sobre IRS

Economia / Economics

A situacao é a Seguinte.

Someone gave me this kit Sonor Force 1007 and asked if I could sell it, it's a discontinued Sonor Force 1007 drum kit which has a very good sound and hardware, for the "beginner" type. I've been looking everywhere for prices on official music stores and I can't find anything, I saw a lot of posts referencing its qualities but never the cost of this newly purchased drum kit. Does anyone know the price of this?

Hello, i'm soon gonna record some footsteps and props in dirt, grass and sand flooring. Tape didn't do it for me, not versatile enough for different types of dirt. Because of that i'll be using real dirt and sand and i was wondering if is there a way to be messy-less while going for this option.
If there is none what would be the best option to make it easier to cleanup?
