I'll keep this short. I am a bit nervous about what this could mean for the future of CS. I would like to think Valve is doing what they did with the CS2 playtest; getting feedback from CS:GO players to fix the game's clunky mechanics. (I played an hour of deathmatch with a friend last night and CS:GO is just miles more responsive than CS2.) I am, however, very worried that they're giving up on trying to make CS2 good and just giving us the old game as an option. "You want the game to feel like CS:GO? Just play CS:GO."

I still think this could be good for the improvement of CS2, but with Deadlock's succcess in a "closed" state, and other big things in the works, I am not super confident th

Been playing a lot of PVE over the holidays and I have been taking a questionable amount of damage from bad ammo, as well as killing bosses using sub par ammo types for the job. Died to raiders on reserve getting shot in the chest with luger, had my stomach blacked while wearing a Korund and getting shot with 5.56 FMJ, killed Killa with two shots to the back using t-46, have killed Tagilla numerous times now with 5.7 L191 with three headshots. I'm not really an expert when it comes to the armor systems, but the only time in my 800 hours I've experienced this kind of thing is when the double damage bug was around. If anyone else is experiencing weird deaths, including in PVP, please say somet

My goal right now is to reach Jade complete in the Season 5 Voltaic Benchmarks before pushing for higher ranks. I am currently using CorporateSerf's improvement method as I feel it aligns more with my training style. I typically train in 90 minute sessions, spending 45 minutes on a warmup routine, followed by a break used to rest my eyes and stretch, then 45 minutes of grinding a scenario. I've reached Jade in precise tracking. Now, I am moving on to control tracking. I'm sitting at diamond in both control scenarios, but I am struggling immensely with this subcategory and would LOVE any tips on improving my control.

To add context without any VODs available for review, I have very stron

As the title states, I would like to know your opinions on third-party overlays used to display a custom crosshair on your monitor. Important info before getting into it, I am talking about software that is only an overlay and does not, or cannot, hook into the game or interact with its files in any way.

TL;DR: To me, they are ok as they do not give the user an advantage or interact with game files. I think it is worth reading my detailed explanation for the broader context and description of my stance.

I am personally of the opinion that custom crosshairs are a necessary accessibility feature. If you spent any time getting good at a game like CS or Valorant, you know community m

Basically, title. I was VT Jade in season 4 of the VT benchmarks, hovering around diamond in the season 5 beta, and I am vermillion complete in the new Viscose beta benchmarks. Personally, I feel like I am regressing mechanically. I do the minimum adjustments to visuals like crosshair color or slight FOV adjustments in games, I even take breaks (entire days or weeks) to prevent mental fatigue, but nothing seems to help shake the feeling I'm experiencing. I legitimately feel as if I have never touched a mouse for an FPS game in my life; it's like I'm 11 again. Does anyone have any advice? I'd like to think I'm not entirely cooked.

Display issues?

Bug/Suggestion

Every time I open the game, the display is completely overexposed and the colors/contrast are completely blown out. I've tried verifying files, rolling back to a different patch, resetting my windows HDR/color gamut settings, resetting GPU tuning, and even reinstalling the game Nothing has helped. Anyone know how to fix this issue, or am I just screwed until an official patch happens?

I'm almost Diamond complete in the Voltaic benchmarks with my main weakness being static scenarios (Jade in Plaza and Pat Strafe, high diamond in tracking). I subscribed to the Voltaic weakness-specific playlist for static clicking to practice my technique. I've been playing it for a while now and just realized today that I'm in the 45th percentile in 5 Sphere Hipfire (large targets) and 84th percentile in 5 Sphere Hipfire Small (a precision variant of the previous scenario). Wtf is wrong with me? Am I stupid?

Ok so my theory is as the title suggests, however, she still met a rather grim fate that nobody should ever succumb to.

I believe that Earheart's plane went down in the ocean, where she was able to survive the crash and swim for some time. Unfortunately, she began to suffer from exhaustion when her adrenaline began to wane. She is drawing near an island, but her muscles start to give. Amelia begins to sink. As she reaches the ocean floor, barely conscious, a nearby school of pistol shrimp moves toward her. They each aim at her and fire simultaneously. Her last sight was the sun shining down through the ocean's surface.

To add an extra mini theory to this, I don't believe she knew how to

Give us what we want. The Picatinny rails are the same on the top and sides as on the bottom, let me put my attachments on any rail I choose. Does it have to be as ridiculous as the title suggests? No. Would it make the customization of my firearms deeper? Absolutely.

Thanks in advance.

TLDR available

I hadn't played a lot of CS2 online because I hadn't had the time, so since "launch" I've been playing offline and keeping my mechanics fresh. The game feels great on 0 ping, but I've noticed a couple of issues now that I've had time to play online. I'm not sure if these are known issues or not, but I thought I'd share to try to bring some attention to them in order to improve the way the game feels.

The first thing I noticed was how inaccurate the AWP has felt, even offline. I did a little bit of testing and I found that even while scoped in and having the scope settle in, there's an unnecessary amount of spread. Your shots are never 100% on target, even when "fully accurat

Especially not to a AAA studio.

TL;DR available, but please read if you can.

NHL 24 has finally been revealed and can be pre purchased for Xbox and PlayStation platforms. Unfortunately, the PC fan base has been left out once again. (This is sad.) A lot of people seem to think this is due to the “development cost” of a PC version and that EA would lose money if they developed for PC. However, if you look at the platforms I mentioned above, you’ll notice the game was developed for the Xbox. That’s very important information. Why? Well, the Xbox OS was written in C, C# and C++ coding languages, supporting Windows apps written in the same languages. The Xbox is also equipped with an AMD Scarle
