At least, that's the hope! And you can tell people you knew us way back when.

Fantastic Fitness is a fitness app wearing a Fantasy costume. Doesn't matter where you are in your fitness journey...even Tig could probably have fun with this.

In a nutshell, you pick a class (endurance based, strength based, or mix the two) and do a workout to determine your Level. After that, your level of engagement is totally up to you. We'll send you workouts every day, or you can ignore those and skip to our weekly Encounter Workouts, where you team up with others of different Classes (either in real life or over the app) to complete longer tasks that correspond to plot points in an epic adventure.

Feel free to delete this if I shouldn't be bothering y'all with my dumb questions :)

I'm working a show with an MC 7524, which is fine...what isn't fine is the fact that I'm cueing a show that I haven't seen in it's entirety and that is still being changed.

I don't know if I'm just dumb or if the manual really doesn't include the information I need, but I'm on a time crunch and don't know who else to ask.

So:

  1. I can record a look to a sub and then record the sub to a cue stack step. That seems dumb. Is there a way to record directly from the channels to a cue step?

~~2. Once I've saved a stack, if I want to go back into it from the "record" menu, it asks me to clear it. I'm sure th

OK this is long but I'm fired up and wanted to give as much context and possible.

I'm a LD in a town with a very small and often more-underappreciated-than-usual tech community. Lots of creatives, very few techs, and you see it in three-day tech weeks, lack of dry tech or q2q rehearsals, and a general ignorance about what it is that we do. Lighting is my hobby-job, so I don't kick up as many fusses as I might if this was my bread and butter, but I'm pretty pissed tonight.

One-woman show involves a scene where she goes into the house. House lights come up a little. Director likes it, because you can see people's reactions. I like it for the same reason, and as a thematic tie-in to other s

At this point I've been up for an hour and a half and I still haven't gotten up the nerve to get out of bed.

I'm ignoring the forecast because I'm supposed to be teching a show this weekend and we really can't afford to lose any rehearsal days. I miss the days when snow was exciting.

What's your pre-snow ritual? Milk sandwiches? Denial? Polishing the cafeteria trays for maximum sledding power?

January/February is the Acts of Faith Festival. Local theater companies produce shows dealing with religion or faith, and they're often some of the best shows of the year.

The shows are detailed here so I won't copy everything into here. Many (maybe all?) of the shows will have talkback performances with cast, crew, and other associated people, so if you're really interested in a dialogue about the production, look for those.

I'll be going to the opening night of Grand Concourse, and will be going to at least one performance of Luna Gale and Bill W Dr. Bob, and would probably be down to see any ot

I'm competing in my first ever lifting meet this morning and weigh-ins were stupid early so here I am. I plan to get humbled which is always good for me.

I've got a lot of downtime between short bursts of picking stuff up. Tell me, R/RVA, about the last time you tried something new. How did it go?

The group had a blast singing for y'all at Palooza on Sunday! We know the acoustics weren't ideal but everyone had good things to say all the same.

If you wanna hear what we sound like when you can hear all of us, we have some links on our Facebook page, and if you took any photos or videos, tag us on Instagram!

We love singing and are always available for events, and will be doing a mainstage show on 30 October with two other local groups. Yay!

Thanks again for having us!!

Oh hi. Me again. Here's what's going up around town this month. Need something to do this weekend? Check out one of these shows!

In no particular order:

Dreamgirls at VA Rep. Through July 8, tickets $36-$60.

This megawatt Broadway crowd-pleaser electrifies the stage with Motown dreams and powerhouse voices. Loosely based on Diana Ross and the Supremes, the story follows the turbo-charged rise to fame of the Dreams. Starring Desirée Roots, Zuri Washington, and Felicia Curry.

The Boy from Oz at Richmond Triangle Players. Through July 16, tickets $35.

Free organ concert tonight at 7:30.. Houli is a friend from college and he can do amazing things on a pipe organ (insert joke here).

He's good. Like, world-renowned-I-think and is-playing-the-Kennedy-Center-next-Wednesday good. If you've never heard a full-on church organ, you really should. It's not religious, there's no service, it's just a little bit of amazing music played on an amazing instrument by an amazing musician. Check it out if you're free tonight!

This is your friendly reminder that when stoplights are out, your treat them like a four-way stop. I've been trying to teach this lesson with my horn but it isn't getting through.

I'm driving a 2001 Volvo wagon. Come at me bro.

Also, anyone know what happened? I never normally lose power.

I'm a little late on this but that's okay because YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME.

March's theater meetup was, I think, a success, even though I ended up crying like a baby for the last ten minutes of the play and then awkwardly hugged the actor in the lobby. Because art.

Here's what's on tap for April. I'm going to highlight the shows I'm definitely seeing and if y'all wanna join me, great! Most interest will end up being the official meetup play; alternately, u/Yarbles and I will make a decision and go from there.

Body Awareness, Richmond Triangle Players and 5th Wall, 20 April - 14 May.

I'm going to this play. From the website: "A wonderful comedy from the Obie Award-winning autho

Alright. Theater.

Show info here.

Location: Richmond Triangle Players, 1300 Altamont Ave. Saturday, 19 March. Tickets are cheaper in bulk so RSVP here and we'll buy 'em at once. (But you can also get your own, you just might not get to sit with us.) RSVP by Wednesday because I'm an anxious fucker who likes to plan in advance. And it's a smallish venue.

We can do team dinner at Lunch or Supper before. RTP has a full bar.

More on this as it develops.

If you can't make this one, go see shows on your own. I'm probably down to join you if you want company.
