Hi all,

I'd like to keep this as simple and factual as possible but would appreciate any clues as to where to start. Please let me know if there is pertinent information I'm missing. I'm looking for information on:

- How to recover a SSN or ITIN for a non resident

- How to find the right type of lawyer (or even what type of lawyer and where in the country)

- Any other concerns you think we should try and address at this point

My dad died last month. He was a UK resident although had an SSN or ITIN from working in America a handful of times. When my mum and dad were younger they bought a property in Florid. Mum is also a UK resident and may have had an ITIN or SSN based on the fact

Hi everyone,

I'm organising a funeral right now, and I was wondering if there were any self hosted solutions for submitting photos.

I've seen something similar for weddings, and so I'm fairly confident this can work (even if I have to fork and change some parts of the project before deploying it), but I'm mostly looking for experiences people have had with these solutions and any that people would outright recommend or suggest to stay clear of.

The main goal is to try and gather some photos of the deceased that we can look through ahead of the service and that we might use to include in a memorial slide show.

I'm trying to keep it relatively simple without needing to monitor various

Hey everyone,

I've tried to find resources for this, but I was struggling and one of the places suggested is here. I'm sorry if it doesn't fit, but maybe you have some ideas or other resources you can point to.

My dad developed an aggressive cancer which we know will not turn out well. About 4 weeks from being on his feet to weeks to live type aggressive.

We're close, but I guess our type of affection is more sitting in the same room in silence and appreciating the company type thing.

I've been more supporting my sisters and my mum, cracking the odd joke with my dad where I can, but the time is coming and I guess I don't know what I should be doing. Part of me says to carry on as norm

Hey, I tried checking the pinned post as suggested by Reddit but it's not showing for me, and I also can't access the discord nor the support page. I logged on around lunchtime and ran a couple of quests with free loadouts on the updated version of the game, but I can't even launch it now. I've verified integrity of game cache, restarted, changed DNS providers, flushed IP, but nothing works.

Sorry to be asking here but I've limited other places to check - is this just me (doubt it based on down detector), and how can I contact Embark if I can't access the support pages?

So I was once watching CS with a friend, probably around the KennyS or Coldzera era, pretty sure Overpass was in rotation, where my friend's gf with no experience of CS or even esports sat down and watched it with us, completely enraptured.

She described it as being able to watch along and the casters calling the util etc so that even someone with little knowledge could follow along. She loved the energy and still watches it with us

What's the one match or series you'd invite someone to watch if you wanted to get them into it?

Hey guys, week 1 again. Funnily enough, every time I start again, it gets easier - more compounding reasons, maybe more guilt, more conviction to not do it again and I actively want to not drink more.

I broke my promise with myself tonight - I wasn't gonna drink for a month. I did it because I was wanting to see my friend before he left the country with his dad who I've always got along with, and I slipped. I did alright for their first 2 pints, managing to nurse a low alcohol beer for that duration. Did okay on their third as well, but that's when I should have left - I ended up having two 4%ers after that.

I can't say I'm happy with myself having a full pint. But for the first time I've

Hey everyone, I've tried googling this and pretty much everywhere I can find only accepts direct debit for memberships.

I have a benefit through work that gives me a monthly budget to be spent on wellbeing and fitness. I'd love to use it for a gym membership, or something related, but I can only access it if I use the card they provide me with, hence looking for somewhere that isn't tied to DD.

Might well be looking for something that doesn't exist, but thought I'd ask before I completely write it off

TL;DR - Self taught software engineer wants to get better at self hosting. Can you recommend a path for better understanding of self hosted services, networking, and security?

I've taken the jump into self hosting. My server is a crappy thin client that I opened up, added more RAM and disk space to, and installed debian then casaos on.

Over the couple of weeks I've had it, I've endured the pain of figuring out setting up my own DNS server for the first time, realised that even with Twingate/Tailscale/Cloudflare I still can't access it on my work laptop for trips, and struggled with NGINX confs and oauth2-proxy configs on a VPS so I can access things from other devices where for whatev

I decided to stop drinking a couple of years ago, but finally did it six months ago. In that time I was a regular at a craft beer bar.

One month they got a beer in from a place and a time that was always a special beer to me for a few things:

  • It was the first beer I drank when my fiancee left me
  • It was the beer I drank when my friend killed himself
  • It was the beer that tasted like home when I wasn't there

They ordered it in special for me and I kept one in the fridge just in case.

Today, day number 43 after a few resets, I had terrible news. I got that beer out of the fridge, got a glass from the cupboard, had my fingernail under the ringpull and... put it back in the fridge and

I've been trying to stop for a while now, and recently hit 31 days after previous failed attempts.

I've been able to hang out with my friends drinking good 0% beers for a while now with no temptation.

Tonight was the real tester after one friend had some bad news. I bought the first round, a none alcoholic for me, a DDH with my favourite hops for him. We played some pool, he returned the favour and bought two pints of the same DDH, one for me, one for him.

I sniffed it and knew exactly what it was. Didn't even have a sip. Got a pint of water from the bar, and later took 2 empty glasses and a full pint of good beer back.

I've never once done that. A good beer that I'd enjoy drinking. I h

I'm looking to settle a debate/find something new. We know about the Rutty, the Riverside, Neepsend Social, the Broady, but which is the best (feel free to mention any others)?

Also keen to hear of anything towards the greener areas - I know if some great pubs in the peaks, but any suggestions for places on the outskirts of Sheffield?

Hi all,

As a bit of background, I write a lot of Python scripts for work that interact with our production GQL API that is developed by a different team. We're currently using our own basic client constructed from requests alongside some predefined queries and mutations.

We're looking to do a bit of a cleanup to the repo and I'm interested to know if there are any solid client packages that you'd recommend when working with Python (consuming the API only, we aren't building the server or schema)? I'm interested to see how it's handled in other code bases and to see if we can take any ideas from there/if it's worth making the switch to a different client.

Similarly, if there's any packages
