Hello, and apologies for using English but I thought it more natural than Google translating to Swedish. If I understand it correctly Revolut does not have an ISK account so for regular stock investing or perhaps mutual funds etc it is much better to use a Swedish broker with an ISK account like Avanza. However Revolut has imo a much more convenient way to buy bonds from companies or general bonds that I am not sure where to find elsewhere. Similarly with investing in Gold, Oil, and in general it makes it much friendlier for non professional investors. Is there anyone here who uses it for those purposes despite the lack of an ISK account?

If not, where do you buy individual international co

I am watching Swallowed Star and can only find it in 720p. Where can I find it in 1080p or higher? It's okay if it has a subscription but I want to have all seasons available in high quality. Anyone knows? Thanks!

I love the game and the story but I am a bit confused with a couple points, could anyone please help me?

! 1.Why was painted Alicia burnt and disfigured? Couldn't Aline paint her properly like she did with Verso? Apparently someone said this is explained in some side quest but I havent found it.

  1. Also, why did the painted Alicia write the letter to Verso? Clearly they both understood the situation—so what exactly is the purpose of the letter? !<

I am not very technically knowledgeable in what is causing it or how to describe it but the hair looks in very abnormal ways, as if it's too glowy or flashy while also shimmering and grainy. I think it could be related to settings but I have experimented a bit and didn't succeed a lot. Any ideas on what it could be? The last game I experienced such a grainy phenomenon was Wukong.

I wonder about this situation/thought experiment. Part of this post is to have a discussion but also so that you can perhaps help me understand my own feelings better on this. Suppose we find alien life on a very biodiverse planet that ranges in intelligence all the way from the equivalent of apes, dolphins, dogs, pigeons, fruit flies, microbes etc. How should we treat it?

If we find microbes on Mars I am pretty sure we will be experimenting on them in the lab and that will be mostly uncontroversial. But what if there are "dogs"? Should we experiment on them to understand their biologyr? Or even without experimentation, what about just kidnapping them and putting them in a lab to study or z

The next beta phase is about to start in a few days and we will playtest an early version of the 3rd unannounced faction. However it is under NDA and the 3rd faction will not be anounced to the public, it's specifically stated that the anouncement of what the 3rd faction will be later this year.

I think this strategic decision isn't the best. I think with all the thousands (hundreds of thousands?) beta testers it's almost guaranteed to leak. And leaks don't happen in the most flattering ways usually. I get it maybe you don't wanna show a lot of footage since it's probably not ready, but surely an announcement made properly from Frost Giant is going to be better than some random leak?

Thinking of Tesla and the neural network approach that FSD v12 has, it makes me wonder how capable chips does a car need to run it? In the previous stack the neural network was only for vision but the driving part was run on thousands of line of C code. But now driving is also done by a neural network so the car needs a good chip for inference too. Do you think the current Tesla cars have what it takes?
Thinking for example how much more memory a GPU needs to run a simple 7B LLM model vs something like GPT4 then it begs the question that if FSD requires a bigger model to truly work well, is it possible with the current hardware of Tesla cars?

I was looking at this paper today

https://arxiv.org/abs/2403.04769

I lack the knowledge to publish a purely theoretical Machine learning paper (nor do I have the time and energy to truly delve into the field and catching up at a level of producing meaningful output) but I think I have a couple of ideas and would be interested in doing research in the form of finding vulnerabilities, or comparing LLMs or models in novel ways etc. Stuff essentially that don't require significant theoretical background and people with a varied skillset have an easier time getting their foot in their water.

At the same time though I am an academic in a completely different field and for my career I need pape

Please help me understand the difference between Chatbot arena leaderboard here

https://huggingface.co/spaces/lmsys/chatbot-arena-leaderboard

and the open LLM leaderboard here

https://huggingface.co/spaces/HuggingFaceH4/open_llm_leaderboard

The open LLM says its goal to evaluate Open LLM and chatbots but it doesnt show the well known ones like Mistral, LLaMA etc. And in some sense shouldn't these leadboards somehow intersect or be a subset of one another? Moreover, I was under the impression that the community said that open source LLMs are appr

Confused about Season 2 ending

SpoilerShow Spoilers

Just started watching the show and I love it, and I am thinking of maybe reading the books! But I am very confused with the following, I clearly remember there was a scene at one of the last episodes with Lanfear and Ishamael where she tells him that she will help Rand kill him so as to gain his trust by showing him that not all Forsaken are the same. And Ishamael accepts it and they kinda spend a "wholesome" moment next to each other which to me kinda indicated that this was the plan all along, a way to long term trick Rand into joining the Dark. But then at the end Ishamael is clearly upset and saying that Lanfear betrayed him. How? Didn't she do exactly what she said she would and I thoug
