A few weeks ago when I was starting with options I bought a $40 call expiring 7/19/19 on CRSP. That's a stock/company I believe in long term and it was at around $35/share when I bought the option. Now it's $23.10 and going down so I'm at -80% return on this right now. Obviously I will hold it and hope it turns around before July but what would be a good hedge to minimize losses? Should I buy the $17.50 put for the same expiration?

I also know in retrospect that this isn't a great stock to be trading options in.

I'm curious if any of you are actually making a full time income trading options as your only income?

I follow some of the big options website and blogs and these guys claim it's possible with the right strategy. But then I read articles on big financial sites that say it's not really possible and that advisor sites wouldn't need to have website and sell training and picks if they were able to make a living trading which makes sense.

I'm just trying to figure out if it's possible to make a living if I follow the right strategy and am consistent and conservative about it? Also some people say you can make money regardless of the market while others say it's only possible in a bull marke

I'm very new to options (like 2 weeks in). I'm using Robinhood just because I already had a account with them that I wasn't really using but it seems fast, easy. no fees etc. The more I hang out on Reddit the more horror stories I keep hearing especially today when people want to make quick trades. I have a small amount of capital to trade with right now (around $10k).

I'm new to options and just started trading on Robinhood. I've been listening to a few podcast and YouTube tutorials and reading what I can. I'm starting to understand basic concepts but looking for resources that give tips on specific trades. Paid or free resources. Free is good but don't mind paying for a service if it's legit

Looking for first VR system for a Christmas gift. Leaning toward Oculus Go. The person I'm buying for doesn't have a computer powerful enough to run higher end systems. They do have a recent generation iPhone. Curious if there is are any iPhone VR headsets that would be a comparable experience to the Go? Mostly looking for cheaper option. I don't mind spending the price of the Go but it seems like the tech will probably be outdated soon so not sure if it's worth spending the money on that now

This is a weird one. I was using Google Voice for my main number for years. I finally decided to port my Google Voice number to my cell phone on T-Mobile. Every since porting I can no longer receive texts from people with Verizon phones. I can send text to those people and they receive them but I can not receive messages from them. I've tested with several people on other carriers and send/receive works. I believe all of the phones that work are on GSM networks (like my T Mobile) so not sure if it's Verizon specific or CDMA vs GSM.

I reset my phone, tried several Text apps, tried deleting contacts and re adding them and have had T Mobile reflash my sim several times. I'm at a loss and s
