Looking for a DB25 breakin/ breakout cable for an AJA 3G-AMA Embedder/disembedder.

Are these kinds of things standard? Or do I really have to just look up cables and try to match their pinouts to the pinout listed in the manual for my AJA unit?

I emailed this question to AJA support but my work day isn't done yet and the boss let's me Reddit for "useful things" so here I am.

I've recently dipped me toe into the Patreon content and so far I fee like Get-Em has found his voice or at least his comfort there. I forget what series it was where he hosted a board-game night kind of thing with all these themed questions based on starting with the same letter and whichever team got the last question in the series right got the points.

Anyway he did a great job hosting that. Like his pacing was great, his comments were good, he had the right balance of rolling with the jokes and making his case etc.

And then on another one where he answers questions, he just seems like he has more confidence participating and to honest, that's been my favorite part of the Patreon stu

We currently have 3x Shogun Studio 2's in our switch rack to handle records for our small live events. Usually 2-3 PTZ cameras, Slides, and PGM+PGM backup.

Boss is considering swapping to 2x KiPro Ultra 12Gs in multi-channel mode and then using the Shoguns standalone if we need 4k Recording (which currently isn't often).

Anyone use these KiPros regularly for 4-channel recording? I've heard horror stories of a single channel losing signal and then it takes down the other three channels. Is that a thing of the past?

Any other weird trade offs?

Thanks!

So mostly as an exercise in using ChatGPT for coding apps, I had it make me a tiny webserver that can be controlled via Companion. It's super simple. You mash a color button on companion, then this server spits out a page that is entirely that color. Smash a different color button in Companion, the webpage updates. So you can use laptops, desktops, or ever mobile devices (all on the same LAN, of course, ) to act as tally indicators. Or just fun colors.

But what I really want from yall is a clever name for it.

TallyHoe

EZWebTally

BrowserTally

TallyPal (you know since the point is to use it with Companion)

TallyPage (I kind of like that one actually)

Fair warning, any good names yall p

So what are you all doing for those situations where you have several monitors all getting, lets say slides/video, some what close together? (Think TVs on either side of a small stage and a DSM)

Currently we are daisy chaining SDI to HDMI converters with loop outs (specifically Decimator MD-HX, which I know are overkill) but it would be nice to have a decide that takes 1 SDI in and can feed like....4 HDMI outputs. Stretch goal would be said device made by a quality company.

I've struck out so far on Google. Anyone find something like this? Or do you all just use a ton of converters or a single converter and a quality HDMI DA? Thoughts?

Anyone else using these on a regular basis?

We have four installed in our GFX/Playback rack for video production. Two are connected to Mac Minis (Mitti) and sound nice and clean.

Two are connected to NUK PCs and sometime last year the both started having the exact same digital audio crackling noise. Best guess is the switch to Windows 11. We've tried updating drivers for both the USB devices and the USB chipset itself with no luck.

The Radial USB Pro works great on other computers (Macs and PCs) and also other USB interfaces work great on the NUCs (Shure X2U, Mackie Onyx Blackjack).

I sent a support email into Radial yesterday, hoping to hear back soon.

Anyone have the same or s

Hey Yall,

I have some second hand NEC PX750U Projectors.

We loaned one to a client and while it was with them the lamps blew inside. I cleaned it out and replaced the lamps but the projector is still throwing dual lamp errors. Everything I can find in the manual and online points to holding the "HELP" button on the remote for 10-15 seconds while the PJ is in standby mode. I have two different model NEC remotes and neither one seems to be doing it.

I've tried connecting the PC control tool but there doesn't seem to be an option to reset the lamp status. I've also successfully sent TCP commands to the P

Main symptom:

-Speakers won't play any audio in the car after starting it up. Eventually it starts working again on it's own while I'm driving.

Details:

-This issue has happened three times in the last few months. Each time I had been driving the car for 20+ minutes and I stopped either for gas or to grab fast food. When I start the car back up the speakers don't work.

This affects all sound coming from the speakers. So apps like Spotify and YouTube Music, but also my podcast app, VLC (offline music player). FM/AM/XM radio, even phone calls, and text to speech services like Google reading me text messages.

The volume and mute functions all react as if they are working. The infot

What is everyone using to power these guys?

We currently have some Geovision GV-PA902BT that work great. Went to buy another and B&H says they are no longer available so we bought a GV-PA903BT instead and have weird issues. They take forever to power up. Sometimes 1-2 minutes, sometimes 10-12 min. We've been using traditional 4-pin XLR supplies in the meantime because we can't roll with that kind of uncertainty but would love to get another camera on PoE.

I was digging in the search for this issue and it actually looks like a few years ago someone reached out to Panasonic and they actually recommended older Geovision PoE injectors but those of course are no longer available either.

Recently I started having glitchy UI problems in my Mazda 3.

For context this model of Mazda does not have a touch screen but rather a big knob that you use to move a blue box around jumping from item to item. You shove the whole knob left/right to move from major section to section and then rotate it to select things within a section.

It's always been complicated to navigate but it's always been consistent.

Within the last week it started glitching and the blue box won't ever get to items along the top row of an app.

It happens for many different apps including some that aren't updated anymore from their developers leading me to assume this problem is an update to Android Auto.

Company just chose Rentman as our first inventory product and now we're looking for the best advice for a label maker and label tape to tag our gear with.

We have a small assortment of video, lighting, audio, and related gear. Looking for something that adheres well to road cases, pelicans, typical painted metal chassis devices, and of course a printer capable of small and medium sized QR codes.

Also looking for recommendations for a handheld QR code scanner that works with Rentman. We mostly plan on using the mobile app for scanning but it would be nice to have a handheld one in the shop too.

I know lots of yall must have experience with this so let me know. Also starting our first pro

Installed brand new dishwasher yesterday.

GE Model PDP715SYV1FS

Ran three cycles with no problems. Started a fourth cycle and went to bed. In the morning dishes were clean but could still see some detergent streaking down from the dispenser.

Started a 1-hour cycle to clean the detergent and it started leaking from the door right away.

Checked inside, cleaned out the filter and then noticed the sprayer arm appears to have gotten jammed against the heating element and the end melted. There is now a pretty big hole in it.

Could this be the cause of the door leak?

Does anyone know of a way to get live language translations as part of the Closed Captions for a live YouTube Stream?

I see they have this feature built in for prerecorded videos but I can't seem to get it working for live-streams that have captioning enabled.

Going to try it myself with a stream but Google is making me wait 24 hours before I can go live.
