I live near the Pentagon City Costco. I have noticed for a long time that drivers behave badly near it. Recently, though, I've had several dangerous experiences walking on S Fern St. In the most egregious example, I was walking in the crosswalk, visibly carrying my newborn child. A driver, instead of stopping for me to continue crossing the street, honked repeatedly and continued through the crosswalk, causing me to stop in the middle of the road (again, holding my baby). If I didn't stop, I think he would have just run over us.

Yes, I understand the Costco traffic is annoying. It backs up in both directions on A Fern, and it's maddening to get into, out of, or pass by that parking lot. Eve

Hi dads, dads-to-be, and nondads in the sub. Long time lurker, first time poster here.

I'm a couple of weeks into fatherhood, and I already know that I am going to look back on this time as one of the "good old days." As I write this post, I'm holding my newborn, who is fast asleep resting on my arm. Next to us is her napping mother, snoring in bed. The whole house is quiet, and all I feel is love. I knew that I would like being a dad (and that it won't always feel like this), but this is amazing. I want to bottle this feeling and keep it forever.

What's going on with all of the motorcycle police? For the past two days there have been large groups of motorcycle police escorting buses around the neighborhood. Today, they are in smaller groups. It seems they are wearing different uniforms. Is it a training or something?

I have seen several photos of Ruckuses that have a Schwinn noseless bicycle seat attached to the Ruckus's rear grab bar. For example. I want to do this, but haven't found any detailed instructions or descriptions of the parts required. The best I have found is this post from 2008, but it is not detailed and the photos no longer appear on the page. Can anyone provide more details or a link to full instructions? Part numbers would be especially helpful.

Sorry for the dumb question. I recently got a laptop and would prefer not to drop the $100 on software if I can avoid it. I think most undergraduate institutions provide free licenses. Is that the case for law school, too?
