I’m really curious as to how differences in experience and character shape people’s perspectives, especially since I literally have never met another INFJ in person.

I used to be more liberal because I believe in the benefit of people as the center of government but when a libertarian leaning friend introduced me to their beliefs I became less worried about The Law and more concerned with everyone being able to live their own way.

What about you guys? And be nice to each other.

I’ve already replaced my old Acer monitor with a newer, better one when I though the problem was the monitor itself, but it does the same thing with the new one. I used all new cables to connect it (VGA and HDMI) but the same problem persists. So I took some advice and downloaded a device driver software upgrade from driversupport.com but that hasn’t done anything apparently because my display still powered down a few minutes later.

The only idea I have left is that it’s an internal PC-monitor connection problem but I don’t know nearly enough about the physical computer to tear it apart confidently and figure out what’s wrong unless I have to. Please help.

This series is the only one I’ve ever read where the concept of a real quest hasn’t felt cheapened or cut to length. King made some bold decisions in including the long amounts of time they spend actually getting to the Tower.

In other books like The Hunger Games or similar that try to set up their own universe, all the action and exposition is neatly cut together so that you’re always occupied. In The Dark Tower the time in between major events adds so much to the scale of their objective. You get the sense like in the first few books of how absolutely massive and important the Ka-Tet’s role is because getting things done is more difficult than just teleporting right there.

Saying you like it/don’t like it or think it’s better or worse is completely redundant on Reddit and I’m really goddamn sick of hearing about it.

I DO NOT CARE if you think it’s ‘slightly worse than everyone believes’ (wow what an original thought, thanks for speaking up to tell me that one) or it LITERALLY saved your trans disabled veteran uncle’s life from his PTSD, or that you smoke 10 bowls a day just to manage your cripplingly sad life and get through basic menial tasks.

It is what it is, stop beating the dead horse when it’s already been reduced to nothing but a red stain on the ground.
