Hi all, I made a post yesterday about having broken my 2 months of sobriety with an entire bottle of gin. Shortly after I wrote that post i had a seizure.

It was a few hours after i’d woken up, i was sat up in bed and my whole body started shaking and jerking violently. everything went all foggy. i couldn’t think straight. it was like someone had put a teaspoon in my brain and started stirring it.

The rest of the day i was extremely incoherent, my short term memory was completely gone, i was peeing all the time, needing to pee again while washing my hands after having just peed, it was hard for me to speak, form sentences, the whole nine yards.

Eventually I realised what had actually h

Last night i broke my nearly two months of sobriety by drinking an entire bottle of gin by myself. even though im on medication that lowers my alcohol tolerance and i hadn’t eaten that day, or the day before i don’t think. i can’t remember. it was extremely stupid but i do not feel a binge coming on so that’s good.

I forgot how horrible hangovers were. i woke up at about 5am after having passed out mid afternoon or evening sort of time, i could barely stand up until about 11am, everytime i stood up i felt extremely nauseous, i couldn’t go back to sleep because i had the worst headache of my whole life. i could feel my eyes in my skull. I went downstairs to get more water and my brother saw

Relapsed last night, woke up at 4:30am after having fell asleep at about 6pm the night before. Was sober for nearly two months then drank an entire bottle of gin by myself, even though my tolerance would’ve been really low.

I’m honestly a little shocked I even survived that one lol, i don’t know how i drank the entire thing. i went to get more an hour ish ago and found nothing left. i thought id be drunk again by now. instead im just sitting here with my thoughts. im miserable.

To celebrate my relapse (🥲) i thought i’d ask everyone here what the weirdest thing you’ve found that you did the night (or day) before when you were drunk.

screenshots from omegle is mine… i like to go on there and ask the person i’m talking to extremely in detail questions about their careers 😅

Thought I’d share my little win here with you all, since lurking in this sub has helped me a lot.

I don’t know how many day 1s I’ve had now. More than I can remember or keep count of. But as of writing this post I’m nearly one month sober. I’ve gone to bars with my friends in the last month and stuck with NA beers and mocktails. And I’ve never felt better.

I always struggled to get through those first three days, where the first day was spent hungover, nauseous, hungry with no appetite, head aching. Second day was overwhelming exhaustion, feeling so fatigued and lethargic, every thought and movement of every muscle in my body felt like it took all the energy I had left. The third day wou

i don’t really tell anyone i have a drinking problem. my therapist knows and that’s who needs to know. in the back of my mind i’ve kind of wanted to know someone whos a bit like me as well so that i could talk about it to them

however, the other night i was hanging out with someone i met recently and near the end of us hanging out they just outright admitted that they’d been drunk most of the time we’d been out, and that they’d been drinking alot on their own lately. they don’t know about my drinking. i just went ‘ohh haha’ not really knowing what to say. i really don’t know them very well. i didn’t really know what to say and it kind of made me think having other friends with drinking prob

I think as a general there’s reasons why people drink. Did you ever figure out what drove you to drink in the first place?

And for those sober who browse this sub, what helped you think that you need to be sober in the first place, and what kept you there?
