Hello, first let me start off by saying it’s my girlfriends, families townhome that they are renting.

We live in Georgia. There has been an issue where something happen under the house. They have been without water for over two weeks. The first few days the landlord said she was working on it. After a week she started to not return calls. Then they received a letter saying the damages would cost somewhere around $10,000. After two weeks she said she’s in dispute with somebody’s lawyers. Which bring me to today where she tells my girlfriends family instead of paying rent maybe they should look for another place. Is this legal? Or is there anything we can do? Thank you in Advance
