Looking for some camping spots within 2-3 hours of Chicago, and hoping for something that is not car camping, meaning a little walk of 3-10 miles to get to camping spot. A few friends want to try some survival camping for 1-2 days, but wanted to practice close to Chicago. Anyone have any good places?

Bought it on Craigslist for $100. Seller says it was lightly used, with original packaging. Think I got a pretty good deal. Anywho, wanted to get some ideas for my first few drinks.
