I think we all agree that we don't want skins to make characters more powerful....but what if they could change affinity?

For example:

  • Dawn (Light of Creation) = Mystical
  • Guy Gardner (Red Lantern) = Physical
  • Batman: Caped Crusader (Green Lantern) = Energy

I think this could open up some fun team comps for characters that typically don't have a place in PvP.

Nightmare Challenge: A

  • Very challenging but doable after several tries. A fun new challenge. Definitely the highlight of the month.

New Characters: C

  • Neither helps in countering the META. Mostly forgettable.

  • Dove is decent but could have a great addition to evasion teams if she was a Mystic.

  • Hawk is too reliant on Dove. Maybe in his inevitable rework, that can be opened up to synergy with Evading characters or something else that's not so limiting.

Reworks: D

  • Deathstroke is not great but at least he's now usable.....an obvious opportunity was missed here to provide a much-needed Physical Team Leader that is viable in higher-end PvP.

  • Blue Beetle is still ga

Even with over 150+ characters in the game, there are few viable leaders ....yet there are some obvious gaps in abilities that still remain, such as:

  • Leader for Evasion teams besides Batgirl, especially an Energy or Mystic leader.

  • Physical leader with +20% Turn Meter at start of match [Tired of Martian Manhunter everywhere]

  • Leader w/Taunt at start of match [place in non-leader slot if you don't want the taunt]

  • Give Invisibility to the rest of the team at start of match [alternatives to Clayface]

  • Teamwide immunity to Turn Meter Down (or some kind of counter)

  • Leader cannot die if any allies still alive.

  • Counter against Overhealed enemies [maybe out of turn attacks, etc.]

2024

  • Hawkgirl was key in last node. Only G10 but still made the win possible.

  • Might need to build Grodd as defense against counterstrikes next time.

  • Turn Meter manipulation and Stuns are critically important against the overpowered Nightmare Toons.

  • G11, even RB1 is not enough.

What else?

There have been several posts showing screenshots of attackers with ridiculously high points from a single round against a raid boss. That leads me to wonder.....

For those of you that play w/out cheating,

  • How many points do you average for a single round (with x5 multiplier).

  • What is your best ever score for a single round?

This is a crude ranking of the value of Leadership Skills, not the overall value of a character. For example, Hippolyta is a really good character overall but her Leadership Skill is relatively weak.

Dominant

  • Lex Luthor: SSS

  • Martian Manhunter

  • Cheetah

Highly Valuable

  • Red Hood (Builds strong momentum after first kill. Non-leader skills counter Heal and Revive)

  • Batgirl (pair with Evading allies to counter faster enemy)

  • Saint Walker

  • Green Lantern: Hal Jordan (counter against Bleed, Stun, Disease or Harley Quinn: MJ)

  • Brainiac (counter Out of Turn Attacks, especially from Wonder Girl and Azrael)

  • Deadshot: HG (eliminate Wonder Girl or most other My

The upcoming character Black Flash looks pretty good, being one of the fastest characters in the game, lots of Turn Meter Down on the enemy team. He probably won't hit hard and could be a bit squishy but he has a passive that can heal himself and gain Intelligence Ups....

...but wait he can't do that himself.... [Edit: or maybe he can as others have pointed out below] Update: confirmed, that he can self-activate his 4th skill but it still can be really useful if a teammate does it too.

...he needs a teammate to gain "Turn Meter Up" before his 4th skill activates.

Turns out there are not that many characters out of the massive roster that have an active Turn Meter Up skill.

As team leaders, both Martian Manhunter (energy) and Cheetah (mystic) give the entire team +20% Turn Meter at the beginning of the match.

In your opinion, which physical character would be a good candidate to get this skill in a future rework?

This could really help balance the game out and give us a few more team comps that are viable in PvP.

Superman: Man of Steel's 5th Legendary skill is generally regarded as almost useless. "Start battle with Damage Immunity" rarely ever does anything since Superman is so fast, the protection naturally expires before anyone ever hits him.

So what if we could replace that legendary skill with something else, what would you suggest to finally make Superman the great hero we all want him to be?

Criteria:

  • No changes to any of Superman's other powers.

  • Something simple and presumably easy to code (not a complicated or radical new game mechanic)

  • Explain how your suggested skill makes Superman a viable team leader compared to other choices like Martian Manhunter, Cheetah, and Lex: SSS.

Worth building? Yes, IMHO easily the best of this month's new/reworked characters.

What makes her special? Utility that works in regular damage OR special damage teams. She makes your entire team hit harder, keeps them alive with Shields, and purges Debuffs for the entire team.

Does she hit hard? No, at least not at the beginning of the match. However, after building up a big stack of Intelligence Ups she can easily one-shot KO Physical characters, sometimes taking out multiple characters with her third move.

Comparable with another character? Yes, some have said she
