Hey folks,

I'm looking for a cheap EV to purchase used. This would be a beater car, a vehicle to drive around locally, so it doesn't have to have great range, I could get by with 50 miles on a charge. I want it to be cheap, under $10K. And this is probably not realistic, but I'd like it to be as fun to drive as possible.

A bit of background: I'm a car geek. I've been daily driving stick shift cars for 25+ years. At this point I drive a '15 Nissan Xterra PRO-4X 6MT. The guilt of driving this relative gas guzzler around town for errands is bumming me out, and having an EV as a second car would be a nice way to offset a bit. I have solar at my house, so juicing up the EV with sun s

Flag of Chicago

Discussion

Happy to join the group!

The flag of Chicago always stands out to me. I lived in the city for 2 years, and realized early on that the flag is used a lot, it's a huge part of the landscape. Being that I grew up loving flags, I realized that it's the only city I've ever lived in where it's local flag is commonly flown, it's recognizable, it's a point of pride for residents. The city flag is even draped over the coffins of city police officers at their funerals.

The flag initially had two stars, until 1933 when a third was added. The four star version has existed since 1939. The three sections of the white field and the two stripes represent geographical features of the city, the star

Hi gang,

Never posted on here before, but I just bought an Xterra and thought it'd be good to join a community of fellow owners.

Because of my affinity for manual transmissions, I happened upon a 2015 PRO-4X with a stick, 55K miles on the odo. This Xterra will replace my 1991 Toyota Pickup Xtra Cab 5MT, which has served me faithfully for years, but came close to a terrible accident a couple weeks ago and realized I would have perished in such a small, old truck. So I began to look for a suitable replacement. Needed to be a manual, needed to be modern enough to have airbags and crumple zones, reliable and capable of real off road conditions.

I initially looked at Tacomas,

I've been playing OW for about 1.5 years now... it's been a blast. But I stopped and looked at the heroes I play on the info screen, and I'm pretty sure I'm out there when it comes to my history with this game.

When I started, I gravitated to Roadhog. He was quite forgiving, with the self heal and playstyle of just waddling around wasting stragglers. Hog is what taught me the basics of the game, how to flank, how to retreat, how to work with others or ignore them. Over time, I got bored, and looked at which heroes captivated my attention. I became a Torb main. This was in the heady days of old Torb, when the level 3 turret ult could obliterate crowds, and one could keep a level 2

Howdy all. I'm starting to get serious about buying a truck. I currently own a '91 Toyota Pickup SR5, but it's getting too small for growing kids in the extended cab, and as reliable and tough as it is, I shudder to think of my kids and I surviving a crash in it.

So it's time to look for a newer truck. I've been doing plenty of research, and have test driven the Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport (the seating position is not great), but there are many choices and I'm hoping to hear from those who have real world experience with this segment.

What I need:
A crew cab that's big enough for 2.
A driver seat that is comfortable for me at 6'3".
I'm a huge fan of manual transmissions, so I'

Looking at pictures on this sub reminds me of a very tough time. My mom is a chronic hoarder, and when it finally came time to get her out of her bonkers hoard house, it was 3 horrible days of wearing a mask and a plastic suit to keep the mold and heinousness from wrecking me.
Anyway, once the house was done, I realized there was one more hoard. Her car. It was a 2001 Honda Civic Coupe (with a stick!) and it was chock full of stuff, so loaded down that the rear wheelwell was barely clearing the tires.
I drove it down to a huge empty parking lot on a Sunday. Walked back to her house and drove my truck to the same place for dump runs. Set up a bluetooth speaker, and cranked Sabbath, S

Every competitive season, I play through the qualifying matches, get put in mid Gold, and barely play any more comp for the season. I mostly avoid comp because I don't usually take the game seriously enough, and I don't want to screw others over when I mess up. I play console (it's what I know, it works for me) and I'm never on chat. I'm older, have kids, a life, don't play that much but have moments of playing a lot.

But last night in the qual matches, I played match after match, without being on chat, and we steamrolled. It was amazing. I teamed up with 2 randoms after the first win, and we all knew what to do, how to work together, where to be and how to pull it off. Other random

OK, hear me out. I used to main Torb. I have about 70 hours with him. The reason I got into him in the first place is the uniqueness of his strategy and kit. Doing well with Torb involved learning the maps in a way that you studied placement of your turret, and placement of yourself to complement and provide crossfire to the turret. The armor packs were a great way to stay alive longer, considering you were slow with a large hitbox. Giving out armor to others obviously helped the team and made people realize that you were doing your part. And the ult. The ult was so powerful that there were times I wiped entire enemy teams out by myself.

All that is gone now. Torb 2.0 has none

First of all, thanks for modding a great sub. I've enjoyed mostly lurking on here for quite a while.

I've recently started playing Hammond a lot, and on behalf of the dozens of us who main him, could he get a flair graphic on this sub? I realize you probably have better things to do, but just thought I'd ask.

Thanks again. Be the ball.

So yesterday, I'd been playing for about 3 hours, which for me is a pretty long session. After a long string of losses, I picked Wrecking Ball in QP. Instead of focusing on playing the way I thought I should, I just screwed around and tried to mess with people as much as possible. This involved rolling all around the map at high speed, launching into battles and piledriving whenever possible, then zooming away for health.
I actually got bronze in elims and we won the match, all while I laughed maniacally and did nothing but have a great time without caring about the outcome.

Ever since I've been playing Wrecking Ball, and I'm taking the game less seriously, which in my case is good
