Based in Wales. Driving home on Wednesday evening and was hit by someone in a signed ford transit van. Put my hazards on and went to get out of the car and they began driving off. Remembered the registration and got back to the car to write it in my phone so I didn’t forget. Called the police and insurer, so that side of it is taken care of. Police have his details and also have a witness.
However, today I saw the same man in the same van, still driving like an idiot.
Would it cause complications to contact his workplace and let them know of the incident, and that he’s still driving dangerously? Would assume the police would have, but know how non-committal they are, as the person on t
Posting for my brother, he works for a transport company, transporting carers to and from work placements. Based in Wales. He uses a fleet car, and doesn’t have personal use of the vehicle. They used to include a fuel card, but these had issues so were removed from the vehicles - they now give each driver ~£40/day for fuel - this is completely used, he doesn’t get anything from this. This has been happening now for around 4 months - odd but not an issue.
However, this month they’ve added £1040 to his payslip, for 26 days worth of fuel as he’s worked that many days. This is included in his taxable pay, so he’s paid ~£200 in extra taxes/NI. Obviously this leaves him about £200 shorter, as t
There's been a rather sharp increase in the amount of posts that contain flammables - petals, herbs, spices, etc.
It's long been the stance that these posts should remain, and generally self-moderate and get downvoted anyway so they're still present if someone searches but will usually be filled with advice on what not to do.
However, these posts have lately started to devolve into a little more ill-feelings, and honestly sometimes they just feel like bait to start arguments.
With that in mind, I figured I'd open a poll on what people would prefer to see in terms of moderation of the subreddit. If it is decided that these posts shouldn't be here and should be removed, it would still req
My mum wants to buy a parcel of land in Wales at auction, its about 2 acres, and nothing too interesting about it as its just a field off the side of a main walking trail we know, and she's happy with it on the basis of what she's seen.
Its about £10k + ~£3k in fees, based on the legal pack and auction fees. She'll be paying in cash from savings.
She checked with one solicitor, she asked about it they advised it would be around £1200 to help do it.
Is she able to do this without having a solicitor to complete or is it something she'd be able to navigate herself? It sounds relatively 'straight forward' from what we've read and understand but don't want to mess it up if there's anything
I've had 2 proximas for a while now with no issues. However, I've come to print a couple things lately that use up a dimension of the maximum build volume, which everywhere states as 130 x 82 x 155 mm.
In most cases this is the 82mm number - I printed a container that was 80mm diameter, around 100mm deep.
Everything is perfect except on the sides of that dimension where it comes out flat. Measuring this it actually measures 75mm.
Is the screen/build volume actually slightly smaller than stated?
Or is there something else going on? The settings in Chitu/Lychee show 82mm, so shouldn't be the code/file thats the issue - they also show the rounded edges when reopening the file.
Tiny backstory - FIL is renting a house, landlord is trying to get him to leave after 2 months for renovations. All sorts of shady so helping him out and showing him how to search for his deposit online to make sure it was protected as he wasn't sent anything and turned out we couldn't find it.
To show him how it should look, we got our DPS letter out from Nov 2016 when we started our current tenancy, plugged everything into the DPS site and all of a sudden it can't find ours either.
I've called up the DPS, and they're saying that there's nothing showing on the database with our information now but can't discuss it further as my partner is the lead tenant, and she's currently working so w
We bought a 2nd hand macbook air about a month ago. The first 2 weeks was great, then started randomly having issues of not starting up.
We figured it was a dead battery and the charger wasn't working properly so bought a new one. That still didn't work, but we'd left it on charge and the next day it was lit up green again and would turn on fine. Both chargers actually work.
This would happen randomly for a while, not starting up when needed. Today it randomly shut down while in use and wouldn't start back up.
We've tried all the various options of buttons with no luck.
At this point I'm considering opening it up to see if there's any issues inside. From what I've read if I disconnect t
I own 2x Voxelab Proxima 6. They've been amazing since I've had them, and I've put about 10-15L of resin through each over the last couple months.
I've seen bits about replacing FEP, and while I was still getting decent results I thought it may help with the slight amount of pulling I was getting on parts as there are some scratches and a couple smaller marks on the outer areas of the film.
I decided to buy some FEP, watched some videos and replaced the film on one of my vats. I removed the protective layers both sides, and fitted them tight - its identical to the other factory-fitted vat in terms of appearance & sound. However, once putting it back on it appears nothing is happening -
So my timing belt snapped on the 3rd Jan - wasn't sure at the time so pulled over and called my brother. He took one look in the engine bit and told me what the issue was.
His friend works in a garage so he asked him how much it would be and 'as a favour' he could do it for us for around £1000 depending how bad it was. He couldn't collect it till the following day as it was late so we left it safely roadside & I walked home (~5 minutes).
Met him the next day, paid £610 (all I had at the time) to cover the recovery, parts & partial labour, with the remainder of the balance to be paid the following week when the work was done.
Called him up a week later and something else had gone
I've been struggling to find these lately. The best I can find local are Genius' beetroot wraps in ASDA. Nice, cheap (£2.80 for 4), but still 13g carbs each so not ideal.
Love Joseph's Lavash, but haven't been able to get them too cheaply on Amazon lately - and all the wraps on Amazon are now super pricey (like £8-10+ per pack).
Low Carb Megastore are £4.50 a pack which isn't too bad, but £4.99 shipping. Even if I order 2 packs I'll be looking at about £7/pack (£1.75/wrap), or I'll have to order a whole bunch and freeze them, taking up valuable freezer space.
Ocado also don't seem to have delivery slots ever.
I've checked our local Tesco, Asda & Morrisons.
We do have a Lidl, Aldi
Does anyone have a rough idea of how much second hand lasers go for?
I have a K40 with maybe 50 hours use on it total. Paid about £320 and added a few upgrades like new bed, basic air assist & ma meter.
Having some issues with health so looking to shut down my business and that includes any plans with the laser cutter. Most of the other parts I can find a price for but the laser cutter I can't find any second hand, and shipping looks like it'll be a mess. Obviously not looking to get near what I paid but if I can recoup some of the costs it'd be great.
