I’ve become accustomed to the tools I use over the years but often when I’m reading comments on Reddit I see people mention tools I’m not familiar with. I thankfully have a lot of flexibility in the tools I can use, so I’d love to hear what you use and for what purpose! And also what product(s) you work on.

For context I work at an agency so the products I work on change every few months. Primarily my experience has been either b2c food apps or b2b fintech products. This is generally what I use:

  • Notion: project documentation
  • JIRA: dev ticket management
  • Figma / FigJam (sometimes Miro): wireframes and idea mapping
  • Mobbin: design inspiration
  • Lookback: unmoderated and moderated

I’ve been a PM in the UK for 5 years. I’ve worked on a mixture of digital b2c websites and b2b platforms.

I’ve been thinking about my next step and am struggling to find roles I like or get interviews for the ones I do (that’s for another post). I’m wondering where there is going to be growth over the coming decade.

The obvious answer is learning more about AI and how that can apply to different industries, but I’m keen to hear any insights or predictions into industries or technologies you think are growing and in need of PMs.

Looking to learn intermediate / advanced techniques in digital marketing, specifically Meta Ads. You guys recommend finding a guru on YouTube or are there good online courses for this? Any help would be appreciated :-)

I’m doing some digital marketing for an e-commerce client and part of this is a campaign for paid social ads on Meta.

They are being quite demanding and want to know the cost of the ad spend. After I gave an estimate they said wanted it to be lower than I initially said (roughly £1500 over three months). But it’s obviously dependent on so many other factors so it’s hard to commit to a figure.

I also don’t want to go lower than £1.5k estimate as any lower then I doubt I will get good results and hit the performance bonus target.

Any advice on this would be great

I have a client that needs digital marketing work, part of this is some promo videography for socials and/or YouTube etc (TBD).

It's a golf simulator business so it would be some shots of the space and people using the simulator. In my mind this won't take too long to shoot but I am not the most experienced in the post / editing side. What sort of prices should I expect? Also, would it be extra for the videographer to direct the promo as well or would I be expected to provide complete direction?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm about to release a career networking app on the App store that's aimed at young professionals, graduates, or career switchers, and I'm not sure which ads platform I should focus on.
I was planning on designing some visuals for IG / FB ads but from what I can tell most people on this subreddit hate Meta ads lol. I am also considering TikTok but that would require me either making videos or paying someone to do so.
Haven't done this before so would appreciate any advice based on your experience. Thanks in advance.
