Hi all,

Can anyone weigh in on why I can't get above 90 FPS on my client at 4k? Specifically, on the 3080 client PC below (others included)?

Tested clients (Hardwired via MoCA):

  • LG WebOS
    • Limited bitrate due to 10/100 ethernet
  • Xbox Series S
    • Bitrate wouldn't go above 150 Mbps @ 4k or 200 Mbps @ 1440p. Not sure why.
  • Apple TV 4K
    • Limited to 60hz due to HDMI 2.0
    • Note: best experience if you don't mind being capped at 60 FPS
  • Old Gaming PC (3080 5900x)
    • Stream FPS not exceeding 100 despite 120 in-game
    • Note: decoder looks the best (AV1). Near indisguisable from native.

Host PC:

  • 5090
  • 9800x3d
  • Running Apollo
  • Hardwired LAN via CAT6

Other:

  • Router -- T

There was already a discussion in another thread but I figured this was important enough to get one of its own.

With the 5090 having a flow through cooler design, it will be blowing hot air right on the PSU and back of the motherboard inside the T1.

I think it's reasonable to assume this will negatively impact thermal performance.

Do there already exist GPUs with this style of cooler we can use to get an idea of how the 50 series will perform in the T1 prior to its release?

I've wanted to build in this case for a long time and I bought my T1 soon as it was clear that the new GPUs would fit inside. But this is giving me a bit of anxiety not gonna lie.

Hi everyone. I’ve been on topical tretinoin for a couple years and more recently clindamycin paired with over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide per the directions of my derm.

My skin is phenomenal compared to before I started tretinoin, but still will get acne flares around my chin and cheeks. I’m a 26 YO man and am fed up with, despite being so responsible and diligent with my skincare and diet (no sugar), still having acne. So, I requested accutane treatment at my last derm appointment.

Here I write to you on my bed sitting next to my 30 accutane capsules I just picked up from the pharmacy and the medical guide, and all I can think about are the awful side affects and horror stories people ha

Sorry if this isn't the correct subreddit to post this. I'm looking for someone who works in banking or deals with big transactions a lot. My girlfriend and I split rent at our apartment, but her share didn't go through this last time due to insufficient funds says management. She is certain that she had the money in her account, but when reviewing her banking history both in the mobile app and webpage, she never actually had a sufficient balance. She called the bank today to verify and they confirmed those observations, but they also said that they should have seen an attempt followed by a bounce in the case of insufficient funds -- they did not.

She got an automated confirmation email fro

Currently using ISP provided router. Never thought about upgrading because it's been fine, but now that I am transferring large files over wifi locally (70Mbps), it's starting to struggle. I notice that the connection to the 5G band is quite weak and I don't believe 2.4 will be fast enough. So a router with far 5G range is ideal.

Some details about my situation:

  • Only 2 devices at a time streaming over wifi plus the occasional handheld.
  • Gigabit internet speed. Fiber.
  • 70 Mbps over wifi at extended range.
  • It travels through 3/4 wood walls. About 20 feet.

I've been stuck on this for days now and I'm at my wits end. I have plex running in a docker container with WSL2 Ubuntu. Things are working fine besides my server is not available outside my network and any streaming from home devices are done so indirectly. Turning off the router's firewall actually fixed the issue, but obviously that's not a long-term solution so I turned it back on. Does that basically confirm I need to port forward? I've forwarded port 32400 from my desktops ip address to no avail. I tried the address inside the container but it the routers webui didn't allow me due to it not being a NAT address (non-192?).

If you can't tell by now, I'm new to containers. Below is the p

I'm building a docker compose file for a media server stack and am trying to decide where to keep the config files. What is generally the best practice? I've seen people recommend storing them in the windows environment just in case something happens to the volumes in the WSL, which I like the idea of. But I wanted more opinions on this.

I typically tend to not worry about it much since I play a lot of games and therefore not too many static UI elements, but the menu bar at the bottom in this game is dark and never goes away. I've been playing a lot and see myself pouring a lot of hours so risk of burn in is high. Was wondering if there is a mod out there that can reduce the opacity of it or any other alternatives?

I know OLEDs as monitors are still a bit niche but if anyone out there has any advice to share I would appreciate it.

I just wanted to share my experience on this because I couldn't find anything on it anywhere. Skip to the end for the conclusion.

I have a logitech G pro x superlight and play a lot of shooters. I was experiencing a sort of mouse smoothing feature in game aka negative mouse acceleration. Pretty much moving the mouse equal distance on your mouse pad will yield different character rotation based on the speed at which you move it -- slower = more rotation of character, faster = less rotation. It's quite disorienting.

This went of for days and I went mad trying to discover what the problem was. The issue persisted across all games, on all surfaces, all resolutions, fullscreen, borderless, g sy

At least, I think that is what is happening. I'm about to start my third go with tret after the first two made my skin peel and the gentlest of products burn like hell. I take about a week break from tret and pick back up once the rest of my routine doesn't burn.

It sucks because I can see that tretinoin is doing a lot of good for my skin and I'd like to keep using it, but I'm worried it will just keep destroying my barrier. Should I get a lower concentrate? Is this normal and should I just repeat this process until it no longer occurs? I've read that it just takes some getting used to. Advice welcome. I'm on 0.05% cream. Routine/procedure below.

Hi guys. I couldn't find any custom layouts like the one in this post but for the steam deck resolution, so I figured I'd make one and share it here. Just follow the instructions in the linked post but use these values instead.

custom_bottom_bottom=750
custom_bottom_left=1030
custom_bottom_right=1270
custom_bottom_top=570
custom_layout=true
custom_top_bottom=760
custom_top_left=0
custom_top_right=1280
custom_top_top=40

Also, if anyone knows of a way to swap screens with a custom layout, please share it with me. The S shortcut to swap screens while in the emulator ceases to f
