Hello friends,
does anyone know if there´s a library or usable models for event/fair furniture?
I quite often use SH3D for creating event booths ...

I'm thinking of buying a smart ring - with NFC capabilities - and possibly other features too.
But mainly for smart home purposes.

Do any of you already have one of these in use?

If so, what for? And would you recommend it to others?

Yesterday, while looking for a Network TAP, I came across a so-called M12 TAP .

However, I have never seen these M12 connectors anywhere; and I have been working in IT for over 20 years.

Are they relatively new or are they only used for veeeery specific special applications?

I know it says they are mainly used in industrial applications, but I have never seen them there either...

Thank you for any enlightenment.

EDIT: Thank you gentleman and gentlewoman

May be not everyone is aware of it...

but you can use a Tuya-Wifi light switch like this also for devices without real cables thus HA devices.

I use only one of them for power lines and the other one (or more) for just sending a command to ha. By this way I can now switch my ceiling lamp via real power lines and my additional uplights via zigbee/wifi or RF (depending on what options are available for HA).

Big plus - you can use LocalTuya for the switch.

Since I haven't read anything about it here so far - and wasn't 100% sure at first that it works, I thought it might interesting one or the other...to replace some e.g. battery powered Zigbee switches/buttons.

I recently asked a colleague from the tech department about a breadboarding issue.

He didn´t know ESP32 but mentioned that microcontrollers with high frequencies are problematic when wired up on a breadboard.

But I never read about such problems when reading ESP32/HomeAssistant tutorials.

And an ESP32 seems to have up to 240 Mhz - which I think is high in this context.

Was he wrong or is 240 Mhz not high?

Yesterday I got the opportunity to buy an S-Class Dreadnought freighter. But it only had 1 cargo slot and 20 light years more than my current A-Class frighter. And since I find dreadnoughts ugly and impractical (who builds a freighter with antennas in front of the approach corridor?) I decided against buying one. Did this S-Class possibly have other advantages besides the slot and the slightly more light years?

Hello fellow travellers.

I hope to decrease warp/teleport times and improve terrain building by replacing the PS4 Pro Standard 1 TB HDD with a new and fast 1 TB SSD. It seems that I can´t backup the whole HDD (= game+save files) and put it on SSD afterwards - just backup save files to USB etc. Afterwards I´ve to reinstall the game and restore the save files from the USB stick.

Is this working fine? Did someone try it who knows something about possible flaws and issues?

I´m a bit afraid of loosing my 200h save status...

Thank you in advance

UPDATE: Everything worked fine - but unfortunately the speed has not increased anywhere worth mentioning (warping, loading, terrain)
