I'm thinking of getting an Epson LS12000, which upscales 1080p to 4k using pixel shift. Given that, does it matter whether the input is 1080p or 4k?

For context, this is for gaming specifically. If I can get away with a weaker GPU outputting 1080p 120Hz then that's a big win.

Thanks in advance!

My friend gave up on trying to find an 3080 XC3 and is willing to just settle on any GPU that fits in a FormD T1 now. Looking for MSRP 3060 Ti/3070 trades +$50 for the material/labor of replacing thermal pads. Strong preference for FE cards - the $50 dollars will be waived for them.

3080 on 600W Flex PSU

Build/Parts Check

I recently got tempted into buying an XWORKS X32, and I just found out the 600W flex PSU I got (https://www.velkase.com/products/enp-7660b) only has one PCI-E cable that splits into two. I was wondering if that would be enough to run an undervolted 3080.

The manufacturer's page (http://www.enhanceusa.com/webe/html/products/show.aspx?kind=63&num=100&page=1) states that the 12V rail is rated for 50A, which should be plenty, but is there a PCI-e cable limitation or anything else I'm missing?

Here's my impassioned plea - I need a GPU, and I'm willing to pay a finder's fee, but I ask that it be reasonable. I have no sob story, just a friend who likes planes and wants to play Flight Sim.

I'm a big fan of helping people game - my post history will show that everything I've ever traded has been MSRP. I have nothing against people who charge more - I get it, if someone's willing to buy, why not sell? But I'm hoping my karma will pay off and maybe I can find someone willing to provide a card for a more reasonable price for a friend in need. Like I said, I'll pay a finder's fee, so you still come out on top.

Here's the build so far, just missing the GPU. He's even got a joystick and l
