Hello y'all! Didn't think I'd be posting here, but here we are!

This is the first time dealing with "self-insured" state agency/department and I was wondering if anyone else has had experience, and can provide their thoughts/recommendations

Location: Alaska, USA
Type: Car insurance/Self-insured

Context:

An Alaska Railroad work truck ran a red light and T-boned my car/me.

Damages to the car: The majority of the impact was on the driver side door but extended to the front fender, b-pillar, driver side passenger door. There's other damage (such as the "frame" around the door connected to the b-pillar).

Damages to me: Concussion & neck stiffness (went to urgent care after all o

Had my R5 for almost 2 years and used heavily on the campaign trail. Few months ago, the function button (behind the shutter) started to get stuck. Now when you press it it just gets stuck.

Any thoughts on what to do about this? Frankly I don't use the button much (it was to switch on/off eye auto focus bc masks), but would like to remap it to something else if possible.

Hi all,

Recently moved to Dorchester from Portland, ME and finally got my 2nd vaccine. Now I'm ready to get back to training and I was wondering if y'all had any weightlifting gym recommendations. Ideally not crossfit but if it's a flexible crossfit place that works too. The gym I used to go in college is a little too far now.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Hi all,

I recently moved back to Boston after a few years...mid pandemic and now my head is a mop and in desperate need of a hair cut. I am in search of a Korean hair salon or barber or someone who can cut wirey Asian hair. I was hoping someone on this subreddit has any recommendations.

Thank you!

Hi,
My beloved s10+ fell out of my pocket and hit just right to not only crack but to damage the LCD as well. I'm looking through screen fix places, and was wondering if the screen replacements also include the LCD as well.

Also general thoughts, repair I'm assuming is 250-300 dollars, which is like a 3rd of a new phone, so any thoughts on just simply getting a newer phone (whether it be apple or samsung).

Bonus if anyone knows/recommends a repair shop in Portland, Maine... that would be cool. There's no authorized repair centers in the state...

Looking for any recommendations for a good quick place to get a screen replaced. My phone fell off my side table and cracked. It's a Samsung S10+. I've always had an iPhone so I'm at a loss where to go here (and there's no Samsung authorized repair shops near Portland).

Hi all, just moved to the area and trying to find an weightlifting club or gym... or at the very least a flexible and open CrossFit gym that lets you do Olympic weightlifting on your own.
any pointers or recommendations?

Hi all,

I'll be moving to Portland for about 9 to 10 months for work. I was checking out options to ship my car (which I've done cross country before) but also looking at rental options or even buying a used car and reselling it (hopefully - that's the plan).

I was wondering if I could get yalls insight on if theres any local family own car rental shops that would would do long term rentals - shopping and comparing from the big players.

Or if anyone has done the buy used and resell after - if they can offer any advice.
