Korean Hair Cut/someone who can cut Asian hair recommendations?

Hi all,

I recently moved back to Boston after a few years...mid pandemic and now my head is a mop and in desperate need of a hair cut. I am in search of a Korean hair salon or barber or someone who can cut wirey Asian hair. I was hoping someone on this subreddit has any recommendations.

Thank you!

Are you willing to go to Framingham? https://www.hairandgracesalon.com/

If you "moved back" I'd assume you had a place you went before you left? Or are they no longer in business

Michelle @ Aluna Salon. She’s not Korean, but she’s Taiwanese and does awesome hair for Asians.

Mary @ John Joseph Salon on Newbury is also awesome. However, she’s quite expensive.

Try K-OOP Hairstyling in Kendall Square. Kevin has been cutting my hair for many years and is highly recommended!

Is it open again? It was closed for at least a bit while the MOT Coop was being remodeled.

Yep, he ended up opening a new barbershop just a few blocks away. Had to close again for a while last year but definitely open now http://www.koophairstyling.com/

Thaoi Vo in Dorchester, near JFK/UMass station. He co-owns T&T Hair Salon and his colleague also does Asian hair.

Korean guy here. Best value for the buck is this one:

Donny or Thoai at T & T Hair Salon. $15 for a male cut, and they're fantastic. They taught me more about my hair type than any barber/salon before. If you pick them, dm me and I'll give you a reference so you're taken care of.
