Using the Debian 13 image from the Azure Marketplace, I've recently deployed two VMs and configured Azure Backup. The backup jobs fail every night and the error on Azure's side is
Could not communicate with the VM agent for snapshot status.

On the OS, I checked the status of walinuxagent and it's running. I checked the logs (/var/log/waagent.log) and it seems the VMSnapshotLinux mechanism is missing some Python modules, so it can't take a snapshot for Azure Backup. The errors are ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'distutils' and ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'imp'.

I have not yet tried to manually install the Python modules. Does anybody know if this is something that wil

We use Bitnami LAMP quite a bit. Particularly the images in the Azure Marketplace. However, they've been deprecated and removed from Azure. What are some alternatives that sys admins are using to deploy a LAMP stack for an application?

Some context: the web apps are lightweight and don't see a lot of traffic.

I often use the power button on my Fairphone 5 to turn off the screen after I'm done using it. Recently, for like 75% of the time, it will open the camera when I'm actually trying to turn off the screen. Only a double press is supposed to open the camera, but it appears my action is still registered as double press somehow (but not all the time).

I was wondering: is this a software issue? Or is the button sensor just too sensitive and it's registering as double press too easily? Should I open it up and clean it to resolve this issue?

I'm also curious if anyone else has had this issue.

Ever since my Fairphone 5 upgraded to Android 15, the bluetooth button on the quick menu (swiping down from the top of the screen) no longer works as an on/off toggle. Instead, it opens a small screen where it lists devices, the toggle and a 'ready' button. How can I change it back to just being an on/off toggle? Or are there any convenient workarounds (a toggle on the home screen would work just as well).

Turning my bluetooth on or off used to be just swipe+toggle. Now it's swipe+button+toggle+ready. It's incredibly annoying.

I'd like to know what you and the companies you work for think about the insane price increases for PRTG, since the switch to subscription based pricing. Do you feel you have to accept? Are you looking at alternatives?

We've been offered a price that's essentially a 600% increase. And that's with a discount! I don't think we're going to continue using PRTG.

So yeah I'd like to know about your experiences and the way other companies handle this issue.

We upgraded a firewall from 7.4.7 to 7.4.8 and after reboot the WAN connection doesn't work. The GUI is available from LAN and says the upgrade was successful. Does anybody know what could possibly cause this?

A firmware downgrade fixed the issue, but that's only a workaround.

I'm loving this game, but one thing is puzzling me. What does the safety wheel on a resource actually do? From what does it provide safety?

Hey guys. I just bought the game on Steam Deck and the controller support doesn't seem to work. It keeps mouse/keyboard as default, but using the on-screen keyboard of the Steam Deck I can't get to the controller settings. Does anybody have an idea on how to fix this?

After disabling the Google password manager, Chrome keeps suggesting passwords to fill in (see screenshot below). I know removing the passwords from the Google account will stop this box from appearing, but I don't want to remove my passwords.

So the question is: how do I completely disable the Google password manager so that the suggestions below don't show up?
