The game has been completely remade. The demo will be released on January 27, 2025. I was afforded the opportunity to work full-time on LORED, so Stages 2 and 3 should follow the release of the demo within the coming months. The full game will have all 4 Stages.

Stage 2 is ready!

LORED enters Early Access on August 29, 2025!

This Stage 2 update will add:

1. 30 LOREDs, each with their own emotes, conversations, animations, and unique tasks
2. 181 Upgrades
3. Multiple new mechanics
4. A revised Cash Shop and 5 new Upgrade Trees
5. The Thingy Garden, where you can grow and play with your Thingies
6. 0 bugs

Issue found in the newgrounds versions, unknown if it exists in other versions.

So I happened to think about LORED a couple days ago and came back to check on the game progress. I really like the new UI! I've run into a couple small issues though:

• If I can afford an upgrade, but cannot afford the next upgrade in the list, accidentally double-clicking on the affordable upgrade crashes the game. The entire game freezes, right down to any floating text currently on screen. A "function signature mismatch" error gets logged to the console.
• I'm currently in the quest "The Loop", to get the Malignancy upgrade "upgrade_name". However, I bought upgrade_name while I was finishing the previous quest. (I wasn't purposefully doing the quest slow, I just let it run overn
