I'm going to preface this story by saying I used to be a bit of a dick, I really enjoyed winding people up and causing a bit of controversy. I would never do or say anything nasty or harmful, but I just took pleasure in pushing people's buttons. When this story took place I was 26 (relevant later).

A few years ago I was doing what is known as an access course, it's a one year crash course for adults that are wanting to go to university but don't have the qualifications for one reason or another. One notable thing about this is that there were a lot of young mums on this course, many of which dropped out of school because they were pregnant. I was studying chemistry and biology, this story

Recently I noticed a couple of black spots on my Chinese Algae Eater. Upon doing some research it looks to be a case of Black Spot Disease, so I purchased some Interpet Anti Parasite Slime and Velvet medication to treat him with.

On the packaging it states not to treat scaleless fish with it, so my question is, is it safe for my CAE? He is a scaled fish but has a scaleless belly, which is my concern.

Thanks

Here is my original post

Here are some images of the property in question

First of all I would like to thank everyone for the advice, I may not have followed everyone's advice but every single one of you that commented on my previous post made me feel a lot more confident going forward.

Today I recieved confirmation from the letting company that I had been released from the contract, so that's done with and I no longer have to worry about them coming after us for £10,000. My girlfriend and I have found significantly ni

My girlfriend and I have rented a 2 bedroom flat from a student letting company in England. On September 1st we picked up our keys and started moving stuff into the property. My girlfriend started to feel a tightness in her chest so we went and had a proper look around and discovered the ceiling and walls in the bathroom had significant water damage, a complete bodge job of a repair had been attempted and there was significant mould and fungal growth visible across a large portion of the ceiling. The bathroom absolutely stinks and my girlfriend's asthma immediately got so bad she had to go outside.

I called the letting company and asked them what on earth this was about, informing them this

So today is the first time I've been away from my fish for longer than a night. I've made sure my room mate knows how much and when to feed them so I know they are going to be fine, but I didn't think I would miss them while I was away.

When I started this hobby I thought they would be fun/pretty things to look at and care for but now I've come to regard all my fish as my family, beings that i genuinely love and enjoy spending time with. I miss them and can't wait to get home and spend some time with them.

Let's hear about times you've missed your fish or times you realised you cared about them more than you thought you would.

Pretty much the title. I'm a vegan, have been for years and the idea of bone broth grosses me out (not judging, don't care what anyone else does or doesn't eat) so is there a non animal based alternative? Thanks

A thank you to HyperX

Tech Support Solved

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to HyperX and thank them for helping me out.

The other day I broke my control box on my Revolver headset and have spent the last few days trying to find a replacement after failing to fix it. It wasn't available anywhere so I contacted them and asked if they knew of anywhere I could get one as I can't afford to replace the whole headset right now.

Instead of apologizing for not being able to help me, they sent me a new one completely free of charge meaning I can actually use my mic in game again. I've never had such a good experience with a company so just wanted to say thanks.

I have some experience with fasting, I completed a 14 day fast last year and finished a 10 day fast a couple of weeks ago. I was aiming at doing a 30 day fast but I felt awful given I have a fairly physical job and had to cut it short.

I have recently started doing alternate day fasts, eating maintenance calories in one meal at the end of one day and then water fasting the next. I am finding it is the least painful way to maintain a fairly significant deficit, my question is am I doing any metabolic damage by eating this way?
