Year and years ago my Mom passed away. My cousin and her husband alluded to the fact that they were trying to conceive while in town for her funeral. Many many weeks later my they announced on Facebook she was some number of weeks pregnant - and so I did the math. This baby was conceived while they were in town for the family's grieving.
Fast forward 18 years. I have sat on this secret for nearly 2 decades now. I would call it a family secret. Everyone has told me I can't tell him. They've told me I must never tell the child in question. I think he deserves to know. While he was young I figured it was too soon. But he's growing up. He's an adult.
I'm trying to game through the various scenarios regarding the looming CR and potential government shutdown. I have felt like the Republicans wanted the shutdown to happen (as long as they could blame the Dems) because it would make the DOGE process easier. But I am wondering what the fall back is if the CR passes.
After the CR passes, would the Republicans be able to use reconciliation to pass their FY25 Budget *after* appropriates were allotted in the year-long CR and then trigger a sequester to force cuts under the control of the executive branch?
Sorry if this is dumb. The Congressional Budget process is dumb, and the rules are long and I swear this must be the most convoluted system
I've been teaching myself CUDA programming for a bit now and I recently started using the Nvidia Performance Primitives that comes with the SDK. They *seem* great. But as I dig through the CUDA eco-system they seem under utilized. Like insanely so. So many of these functions don't return any usage in GitHub. Even Google only results in like single digit results that are usually just the API reference.
Traveling at the speed of light freezes time because the total speed of vector(x,y,z,t) can’t be greater than the speed of light. But what happens if we invert this? If you slow something down to absolute zero, remove all energy from the system, and stop all motion along the x,y and z axis, would that increase the rate at which it perceives time? That constraint on c means it can’t experience all of time instantly. So what does happen?

Real talk. The modern generation is not nearly as religious as those of the past. I am fine keeping the unit ministry team, but let’s be real - it’s a waste.
What the Army needs is more dogs. Imagine how much that would improve quality of life if every platoon had a dog. A bit ole floof that was happy to see you come into work every day. Kept you company in the field. Hell ya excited to be out there.

Problems at the Barracks? Dogs fix it.
Problems with Suicide? Dogs fix it.

Anyone know what’s going on with points this month for the 68s? Whole lot of 798s. I know 68W jumped to 798 from 510ish the month before. First time 68W has been impacted like that in years. Been hearing it’s the fiscal year? Anyone know the real story? Should we be expecting it to stay like this?
