I've had a DS411j for a really long time, well over a decade. I use it for backups and extra storage, and I have been perfectly happy with it during this time.

I recently got an e-mail from Synologi that said that these models would no longer receive updates, which is sad but quite understandable.

Should I continue to just run my old system for as long as it lasts, or is that a stupid idea that will end badly? If the latter, what would be the recommended model to upgrade to? I just want "some storage space", so everything fancy would be quite wasted on me. That said, I'm not too price sensitive, so I'd rather pay a bit more for something that will again last 10+ years, rather than slightly

Usually, I think I have an idea about the algorithm that can create the input for each problem. But if I was tasked with writing a program to create today's input, I would be completely stumped, and I wouldn't even know where to start.

Based on both my input and the visualizations I have seen, the loop is mostly "dense" with a few pockets here and there, some inside and some outside the loop. There is also a "lake" in the middle.

Is there a standard algorithm for building a loop with these features?

I have an implementation for part 1, for which the only example given passes. My program output of ~620 is apparently too high. I submitted a somwhat random value of 560 (just to see if I was in the ballpark) which was too low, so I'm not that far off.

However, I don't get how I can do any kind of troubleshooting. As far as I can tell, my implementation can be incorrect for any of the 16 opcodes. Apart from staring at the code, what can I do?

I have a few habits that I do multiple times daily. When I do them I don't always have my phone at hand to check them off. And a few hours later, I can't always remember if I checked off my most recent time or not.

Is it possible to easily see when a habit was most recently checked? Even better, would it be possible to display that already on the habits screen?

After Evernote's new pricing scheme, I decided to give OneNote a go. I ran the MS supplied converter as a start. That placed every single individual notebook in its own file in OneDrive. Is this intentional?

The main point (for me) withh Evernote is that I can see all Notebooks I have on the left hand side of the screen. Switching between them is a single click and takes less than a second.

In OneNote, I do the following (NB! I use a non-English version of OneNote, so the terms may not be exactly the ones I list below):

  • Click File

  • Click Open

  • Click Open from other location - OneDrive

  • Scroll down to Notebooks folder, double click on that

  • Scroll down to the correct Notebook (as

One of my managers has become broken. The tooltip doesn't list any abilities, and when I reroll that manager, the game hangs. The manager can still be assigned and unassigned, but since he has no abilities, assigning is of course useless.

What can be done about this?

So I got tired of the out of memory issues and wrote an AHK script that saves the game, closes the browser and restarts it (AKA cheating...)

Anyway, this works fine, except that in a few cases the games has loaded an older save, sometimes going back many hours. This is of course quite strange as autosave is on and saving every 30 seconds. And the weirdest part is that one time this happened, I imemdiately closed the browser, waitd for half a minute and the relaunched the browser. That time, the game loaded the correct, most recent, version.

I have seen this enough times to know that it happens, but I have not yet found a way to predictably reproduce this.

Any idea what could be going on h

Could you make it possible to change the name of the managers. I have a standard manager for each place, but also special managers that boost combinations of tiers 1-5. And I can never remember which one is which, so when I have reshuffled them a bit I have to read evvery single tooltip carefully again. Quite the waste of time.

Am I missing something, or is the only thing that counts in this game the speed with which you can complete hamlets? This means that how research is spent on hamlets matter a great deal.

However, for higher levels, the only thing that counts is "x is created after y (from y+1)", and any other research is essentially wasted.

If you have no other research on higher levels, they will essentially never complete until you manually do them, but that is quickly done in batch, and no overall time is lost.

This sounds wrong (or rather like a less than interesting game), so please explain why this isn't correct.
