I'm a big fan of the musician Watsky and I was listening to a "radio station" of his on Spotify which is a playlist which has the musicians songs as well as artists and musicians the app thinks is similar and you'd like.

Well months ago it played a song I forgot to save but I absolutely loved it, I didn't see if it's an actual Watsky song (don't think so because I've tried looking thru all his stuff) or a song by another artist featuring him or just a totally different but similar artist all together.

The song was about a guy reminiscing on a girl he had something with but they grew apart so he wrote her a letter years later to see how she was doing and explaining how he misses her or some

Upton Sinclair wrote his book, "The Jungle " almost 100 years ago.

This book was supposed to about the abusive working conditions the workers in the meat processing industry received but the public focused mostly on the unsanitary conditions of the plants detailed in the book.

The book lead to the passage of the Pure Food and Drug Act by President Teddy Roosevelt which required sanitation and oversight of food processing.

I work for a company which cleans food processing plants, I've worked at a soup plant and a candy plant so far. In the next few weeks there's a good chance I'm gonna be moved to a meat processing or meat packing plant.

It's a different job than the retail ones I'm used

Long story short the girl I was with and fell in love with turned out being a bad person and left me for no reason and turned all my friends who were all through her against me too so now I have nobody.

I'm 21, live in Fort Worth but love traveling around the Dallas and Arlington areas.

I'm going to school full time this fall and starting at UTA, Aerospace Engineering major.

I'm currently working full time at a grocery store.

My hobbies include video games, movies, shitposting on reddit and various Facebook groups and driving around a lot too.

Favorite game series is Mass Effect and favorite movie series is Tremors.

If we get to talking I can show you what I look like but to describe,

So I'm minding my own business fighting the dumpster fire of a meat wall that I got called in to fix because no other closers and a guy comes up to me asking for a couple of milk creates.

I inform him we send them back and can't give him any. He keeps asking and I keep repeating that. The whole time I'm honestly curious to why he hasn't asked for a manager yet.

Eventually he asks to "just see", I sure as hell ain't walking back there to just grab a crate and put it back so I take him over to the milk fridges and point to them and tell him that's what they look like and there absolutely no way he's getting one.

He goes grumbling off.

I go back to fighting that dumpster fire of a departmen

So not gonna say where out of fear of liberal attacks but anyways...

For this past year I've been working a part-time job, ~16hr/wk, ~$115/wk, not bad considering I'm in school.

Lately reality has caught up with me and this wasn't enough though, I put out 261 applications these past several months, only got one job offer; take a near minimum wage job (pay cut for me) work more hours at a place I did not want to work.

Not being a lazy liberal I sucked it up and accepted that reality. Until today.

I got woke up by a phone call, a certain company wanted me out of what I later saw on their screens was around 200 applicants.

I go to the interview and get a job offer that works perfect with m
