My SO is a bartender/manager. He gets out around midnight. I've worked food service, so I understand out-times are random and a menace.
He stays out until 2:30 am, normally. This is because he goes to the bar, the club, a friend's house, or all of the above on the way home. Consequence if living in a downtown area where his commute is a short walk, I guess. But then, he never messages me where he is going, when he is changing locations and to where, and when I wake up and see him not there, he usually doesn't answer his phone. 9/10 I don't know where the fuck he's been until after he stumbles in the door and tells me in person!
Reasons he thinks I should be okay with him drinking all night
I took the day off on Monday to see if I would feel better. On Tuesday I felt worse, so I called out again and took an at-home test. It came up positive, I took a picture, then my partner brought me to the nearest clinic. Took like an hour and a half, but I got an official positive, and took a picture of that too. Sent both images to my boss, telling him I'd be out for the week.
We picked up our kid from camp ASAP and they also tested positive. They had to miss their first week of camp after having already experienced their first day. I allowed myself to get good and pissed.
My in-laws let me have a printer that they weren't using. I downloaded a worker's comp Form 18, filled it out, and m
Can we do something bigger in solidarity for reproductive autonomy than just gathering in front of Thalian Hall? Not to knock the feminist groups in Wilmington, but I've been seeing some posts suggesting a general labor strike across the country. I think we should collaborate with Women of Wilmington and the Democratic Women to organize a citywide walk-out in every industry. It would take some planning and charitable backing, but if we can't have personal autonomy over our bodies, then our bodies shouldn't be used to earn profits for the rich. Who, it should be noted, advocated for this knowing they'd never be affected.
We work in a mental health clinic. He started feeling symptoms last Monday. Came in, without a mask, and worked the front desk alongside both receptionists. He left Tuesday, came to work Wednesday wearing a mask, then waited until after the office closed to announce that he had tested positive for COVID earlier that day.
By Friday, three practitioners felt symptoms and tested positive. My boss joined the staff meeting via Google Meet and proceeded to blame everyone else for not wearing masks after the mandate was lifted. He then insisted that the grace period for not being contagious was 5 days after being tested. Several of us had to gang up and correct him that no, it's five days *aft
I'm lactose intolerant. Been wondering why my stomach has been sore all week.

I'm new to the marketing industry. I got hired by a small clinic mostly to write reports, but I also make the flyers, posters, and banners, write for the blog and post on social media using Loomly. The problem is I have no way to interact with our social media platforms directly. So I can't Follow anyone, Like, or Share anything with other local businesses or current trends that have to do with our industry. I hate that I can't monitor our posts more directly or interact with our Followers. I can't even see how many views we get! My boss has all our social media accounts tied to his personal one, so he refuses to give me direct access. He put me on as a separate admin on two of them, but whe
So three years ago, some asshole hit my car while it was parked in front of my house and dented the hell out of it. I called my insurance to file a claim, only to discover that my plan had expired a few days previous. So I haven't gotten it fixed. I did get a police report, some repair estimates, and the asshole's information, though he didn't have insurance either.
I live in NC. I did consult with some attorneys and they said it would be easier/cheaper to file the small claims myself. My problems are that I'm a working mother who lives paycheck-to-paycheck and works 9-6. The asshole lives in a middle-of-nowhere county 40 minutes away. I have some anxiety about dealing with court systems an
