Howdy! I'm new to the Deathguard and looking to build a demon prince, so I was looking to get some advice from folks with experience with the Demon Prince of Nurgle model. I am aware that FineCast models are generally considered not-ideal, but how is this specific one? I know I'd have to "kitbash" some wings for it, but I'd have to do a bunch of stuff to the plastic kit Demon Prince to make it look Nurgly as well, so that's kind of a wash. Is one harder to build/more-fragile than the other? Which one would you suggest going with as someone new to things?

I've spent the last 10 years of my life taking care of my disabled Mom as she struggled with Stage 4 liver cancer followed by severe pulmonary arterial hypertension. Dad died 3 years ago, and Mom lost the will to fight after that, passing two weeks ago. I am inheriting $110,000, but feel like I have little in the way of existing savings (due to the low # of work days I've been able to work the last few years as Mom's health deteriorated) and a mountain (relative to my income) of student loan debt, as I went into subsitute teaching instead of a career path in order to have the flexibility to take care of mom on her bad days (which increased in frequency each year until the end).

So, who's going to be first the madman/madwoman to construct a deck for all of the possible Partner Combinations?
Will probably get a bit samey half-way through, but it could also be a really interesting exercise in seeing how different synergies meld.
The "Partner" choice seems like a brilliant way to counter the "everyone's playing Meren for a year" thing that the Commander Product tends to produce, as it's way less likely you'll see two of the same Partner Pair at a table, by dint of sheer # of combinations.
I'm half tempted to just start doing two of them a week until Commander 2017.
We finally get a an intentionally ropey flesh/muscle monster setting, and no Ron Spencer art!
